What a wonderful week we had! Although no one is accustomed to 5-day school weeks.
On Tuesday, AISD leadership sent a team over to observe classrooms and review the processes of Bear Creek Elementary. As you may imagine, we were a hit with the team. Numerous times our guests stated how calm the building was, how polite our students are, and how nurturing of an environment we have. When you couple those feelings with our academics, you have a campus of high regard. Thank you ALL for your partnership with us. It serves the best interest of your children.
When we open our doors at 7:15 am, we tend to not have many cars dropping off students. If the majority of car riders are waiting until later to come to campus, as you can imagine, we create a slow-down. Thank you for considering launching your child's day just 10-mimutes earlier. Classroom doors open at 7:30 am. Our teachers are ready for our Cubs!
Cub Olympics is Friday, February 13th. We LOVE when our families join us for these fun events. Just a reminder that the Valentine's Exchange is not a PARTY DAY. This is a special moment for your children, their classmates, and their teacher. Parents will not be in attendance for the classroom card exchange. If you wish to join your child for lunch that day, you will need to check into the building.
As we honor the dietary restrictions of our students and the policies AISD has in place in regard to food, we ask that you not send Valentine's cards for children that have food. Thank you so much for assisting us with this.
