It may seem crazy, but it is time start thinking about next school year... yup, in the throes of it all, our Birmingham schools are already busy getting ready to support your student in their next phase of school. We are fortunate in our District to have many outstanding elementary, middle, and high schools. We encourage you to check out all the options and share the resources with friends and neighbors.
Junior Kindergarten Interest Form: If you or someone you know is interested in Junior Kindergarten. Please check this out.
- BPS Junior Kindergarten (JK) is a full-day, no-cost program for children turning five between June 1 and December 1, giving them an extra year to grow before Kindergarten. Students turning five between June 1 and September 1 may be eligible for JK or Kindergarten, depending on readiness and space.
- The district-wide JK interest survey is now live and available on the BPS enrollment page: Junior Kindergarten Interest Survey. This survey is interest-only and helps with planning; completing it does not guarantee enrollment.
Birmingham School Open House Events
In Birmingham Public Schools, we have a lot of great options as our students move up grades. In the coming months, we encourage you to take your students to Open House events to help inspire them for where they are headed next, following their time in Bingham Farms. These Open Houses are free to the public, and it is also fun to think, in just 1, 3, 8 years, I'll be there on stage, in the pool, or testing that experiment. All Birmingham Schools have a unified curriculum, so it is a great idea to visit schools that you are interested in to see which culture and offerings are a good fit for your student.
*If you miss an Open House and are still interested in touring the school, please reach out to their office.

Teacher Gifts
With all the Prime Days and other shopping deals out there, we want to share that Bingham Farms will once again be offering GiftCrowd for teacher and staff gifts. Information will come out in November. This is a way to contribute to a larger group gift card for each staff person and is their preferred gift.
- Join Gift Crowd: Select the staff you'd like to contribute to. They will see your message and the total of combined gifts for them (not your individual contribution).
- All contributions must be made by December 17, 2025
Moonbeams for Sweet Dreams, December 9th 8-8:15pm
Join us at Corwell Health Royal Oak for a sweet start to the holiday season. We will join neighbors and first responders in shining a bright light up to children patients who are receiving treatment at the hospital. Dress warmly and bring your favorite flashlights and glow supplies. Parking is near Meijer and we recommend getting there a few minutes early - it will be crowded, just squeeze on in for the fun celebration.
Holiday Shopping: Spiritwear
Get a jump on the holidays with a new sweatshirt, hat, or T. All Bingham Farms Spiritwear is 20% Off!

Schools Offer Support
Schools Offer Support - SOS supports BPS families with temporary financial needs by providing grocery gift cards, utility and medical bill assistance, and childcare assistance.
Additionally, SOS will be providing gifts cards to families identified by their BPS school to assist with holiday shopping through their annual Season of Giving. They will also have FOOD BAGS available to these families to help with breakfast and lunch over the long December school break. Last year SOS helped 76 BPS families receive gift cards through the Season of Giving.
ANYONE wanting to contribute to assisting BPS families with food and financial insecurity over the holidays, you can Venmo or Zelle your TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION to SOS. We’re asking for $25 denominations to help with distributing the gift cards we purchase evenly among the families.
BPS families in need can request support through our website by clicking on the “request support” button. schoolsoffersupport.org
PTA Membership Directory
We invite all our families to participate in our Membership Directory. Within the PTA Membership Toolkit there is a school-wide Directory. This is the best spot to look for contact info for meet-ups, party invitations, and the name and number for "Luke's Mom".
Seriously, the other day he came home with, "Mom I need a play date with ___, I have his number written down..." it was five numbers, nothing else. 🤦🏻♀️(Cue Membership Directory)
Social Media
Stay in touch with friends and share your back-to-school highlights on your grade's Facebook pages. These are meant to be social spaces that spread positivity throughout our classes.

Shop to Support the PTA
Kroger Community Rewards
Help our school while you shop. Under your Kroger Plus Card Account > Rewards > Community Rewards, you can select an organization that a portion of your sale goes to support! Choose AC809 for Bingham Farms Elementary and our PTA gets a check with no extra steps after you sign-up.
Box Tops for Education
A great way to support the school is through Box Top$ for Education. Long gone are the days of clipping the barcodes of cereal boxes or soup labels. Download the app, select Bingham Farms Elementary, and each time you shop at the grocery scan your receipt. It will auto calculate the donation and send it to our school! It is easy, and you don't need to know which food or supplies qualify for credit - the app checks for you. Now download that app while you wait for the bus, or in the pick-up gathering zone. Thanks for supporting our school, and be sure to share with friends and family too!
