JSC Weekly Wave

A Message from the Principal
Dear JSC Community,
Thanks to all students, familes, and friends who came out to our events over the last week, including PASD's annual Art Show and JSC PTO Basket Raffle, and our 4th Grade Family Night! The Art Show was a bedazzling experience! PASD staff and students did an amazing job as they transformed JSC Elementary Center into the most beautiful art gallery! PASD students really outdid themselves with their artwork! So much talent and creativity - it's truly inspiring to see. We are so very lucky to have dedicated staff members who go the extra mile to help our students shine.
Our PTO basket raffle was a huge success! The proceeds from all PTO fundraisers go directly to JSC students in the form of field trips, fun activities and school events, memory books, t-shirts, additional classroom resources, and much more! If you're not a member of the JSC PTO, there will be another opportunity to join in late August!
We were overjoyed to see the turnout for our 4th Grade Family Night last night! The energy was electric, and our students and staff did an excellent job! Hard to believe that in just a couple of weeks our 4th grade students will take 'flight' to middle school! They will be greatly missed, but will always be a part of our JSC family!
As always, thank you for making JSC the place to be!
Your partner in education,
Ms. Kerri Lubinsky

- Please note that the summer program is designed to target students who are working toward mastery of foundational reading and math skills. If you feel your child could benefit from a review of foundational reading and math skills and would like him/her to be considered for the JSC Summer Learning Program, please email JSC Principal Ms. Kerri Lubinsky at klubinsky@pottsville.k12.pa.us.

MORE Slime Time
At JSC, school attendance matters! Each month, we strive to create a quick, fun, out-of-the-ordinary activity to encourage students to come to school each and EVERY day (unless they are sick, of course)! These short bursts of fun are designed to add a BIG burst of extraordinary fun with minimal distruption to instruction. Attendance Matters Celebrations - Another reason why JSC is the place to be!
