Wednesday - Unity Day - Wear Orange

As a way to enhance the senses of belonging and community at Fremd High School (FHS), each month a building-wide activity has taken place. In August, we established what it means to be “Mighty, Brave and Bold” as a member of our school while engaging in a links activity (the links are connected and draped throughout many of the first floor hallways).

Last month, we were educated on how to take care of ourselves and each other during Suicide Prevention Week. The “You Belong, We Belong” experience had students and staff members writing on the sidewalk in front of the building to express how they best connect with FHS.

To continue celebrating our community, we will be recognizing Unity Day on Wednesday, October 18th to stand against bullying. We will be wearing orange and running awareness activities throughout the day. Students and staff are encouraged to stop by the student cafeteria during their lunch period to help paint a new “Be A Good Viking” mural on one of the walls. All participants will be given an orange bracelet and be entered into our monthly spirit wear raffle.

Let’s wear orange Wednesday to take a stand against bullying!
