Our Falcons SOAR!
Notes from the Heart
Thank you all for the support and fun during the month of October. We had great participation in College Week, Red Ribbon Week, Pink Out Day and we are expecting a great turnout tonight at our annual Mom’ster Mash! We had workers from Waste Management come visit our PreK students as they completed their Community Helpers unit. In October we also had a Books Alive performance for our 1st and 2nd graders and Mother Goose came to share stories with our PreK and Kindergarten students. Our attendance rate is staying strong as we finish October as we are still above 95%. Congratulations! Let’s continue to make every effort to be at school everyday that students are well.
This month we have our 3rd grade Veterans Day program on November 11th. Also, afterschool tutoring starts this month for some of our 3rd, 4th, & 5th graders. We had a great turnout for our Francone Baseball team tryouts, as we add a Rookie team this year. Thank you to our MVP and Watch DOG volunteers for your contributions to our school. I also wanted to share that with the funds from our Kanga Spirit Night fundraiser in September ... we are purchasing and installing new basketball goals in the gym!!! Thank you for your support at the Spirit Night and also thank you to all those who sold Popcorn for our Fall Fundraiser. Top sellers and prize winners will be shared soon.
November is a month when many reflect on things they are thankful for in their lives. I am extremely grateful to my family and friends for all of their love and support. I am also very thankful to my Francone staff, students and families for all of the support in our Falcon community. I am continually amazed by all the great things going on in our school and hope to continue to add experiences and opportunities for all students. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving Break at the end of the month spending time with family and friends.

General Reminders
2026 - 2027 School Hours
School Hours - 8:15am - 3:35pm
Doors will open to allow car riders in starting at 7:50. Students must stay in cars until 7:50 when doors open. Students who enter after 8:15 will be considered tardy. If interested in after-school care, Club Rewind operates on campus, but parents must register separately. Additionally, several area daycares have vans that will pick up from campus and/or use CFISD transportation. Please call our front desk at 281-897-4512 for more information.
Francone Lunch Procedures
Visitors are welcome beginning Monday, Sept. 14, 2026. There may be later dates we are closed to visitors due to schedule changes. Parents should pay close attention to monthly newsletters for these dates.
Seating
Seating is limited for visitors. You may only sit with your child at the visitor table. Your child's friends must remain with the teacher.
Food
Parents can only provide food for their personal child. Other children should eat what their parent has sent for them or from the cafeteria. Once lunch ends, your child should throw away what they have not eaten. Please do not send them back to class with sodas, etc.
Arrival/Departure
Please remain in the front office until 5 minutes prior to your child's start of lunch. This helps with congestion at the visitor table. When the signal for the last 5 minutes of lunch is announced, please say your goodbyes, so that your student may return to their homeroom table to prepare for exiting directions from his/her teacher. Please turn in your "visitor sticker" to the front office when you depart.
Volunteer
Consider volunteering if your schedule allows!
Safety Reminder!
Please be sure students are not dropped off in the parking lot outside of school in the morning prior to doors opening at 7:50 AM. All students should arrive in the car rider line, as bus riders, or as walkers (for those who live within walking distance of the campus).
Parent Quick Reference Sheet
Your one stop to "KNOW IT ALL!" The attachment that will be below will take you to our parent guide for the year. This is a great resource to reference for questions about arrival, dismissal, lunch procedures, dress code, etc. A hard copy of this document was sent home at the start of the year, as well.
