Principal's Message
Dear Galloway Families,
As we wrap up the 2024–2025 school year, I want to take a moment to reflect on what an incredible year it has been at GTMS. From unforgettable field trips and schoolwide events to everyday classroom moments, this year was filled with memories, growth, and pride. We are so proud of our students and all they’ve accomplished.
To our 8th graders — we wish you all the best as you embark on your next adventure. You’ve made your mark here at GTMS, and we know you’ll continue to shine in high school and beyond. To our rising 8th graders, we’re excited to see you step into leadership roles and model what it means to Respect the Paw for our incoming 7th graders. And to our newest Grizzlies — we can’t wait to welcome you at our 7th Grade Orientation on August 13th!
At GTMS, we make every effort to celebrate student success and nurture a school culture built on our core motto: Respect the Paw — respect yourself, each other, the staff, our school, and the Galloway community. We are proud of the joy and pride we see in our students every day, which is a direct reflection of the dedication, passion, and care shown by our staff.
As we look ahead to a new chapter, I’ll leave you with this quote:
“Go confidently in the direction of your dreams. Live the life you have imagined.” — Henry David Thoreau
Wishing you all a restful and joyful summer. Thank you for being a part of the GTMS community.
With appreciation,
Mrs. Paula Junker
Principal, GTMS

GTMS CORE VALUES
Do you know what it means to be a GTMS Grizzly?
At GTMS, being a Grizzly means more than just showing up to school—it’s about embodying our core values and “Respecting the Paw” in everything we do.
So, what does that look like?
Multicultural Night at GTMS!
A heartfelt thank you to all the families who joined us and shared a piece of their culture through food, performance, and tradition. Celebrating the diversity of our community is something we hold close to our hearts. Coming together to support, appreciate, and learn from one another is what makes Galloway so special.
Huge thanks to Bayview Volunteer Fire Company #4!
We’re so grateful to Captain Stephen Hand Jr. and the entire Bayview team for helping make one of our favorite events possible! With their support and the ladder truck on site, our students were able to safely test their inventions during the Egg Drop Challenge — and what a day it was!
Your continued partnership and dedication to the Galloway community means so much to us.
NatureFest Success at GTMS!
What a beautiful day for our annual NatreFest! GTMS students had the opportunity to educate elementary students about New Jersey’s native plants, flowers, and animals through fun games and engaging activities. A wonderful celebration of learning, leadership, and our connection to nature!
F-16 Pilot Visit
Team F had an unforgettable visit on June 9, 2025, when Lt. Col. Long, an F-16 pilot with the 177th Fighter Wing, spoke to students about the physics of flight. Invited by Mrs. Mohr-Murphy, he shared real-world insights on aerodynamics, G-forces, and his global military experiences. Students were engaged and inspired—thank you, Lt. Col. Long, for your time and service!
Grade Level Festivities
7th Grade BASH
The 7th graders had a sweet Candyland adventure as they journeyed through the Candy Cane Crawl, Gumdrop Gauntlet, Sugared Up Sports, and the Lollipop Lounge. From navigating the obstacle course, enjoying Kona Ice, to singing karaoke, getting face paint, tattoos, henna designs, and caricatures, fun was had by all! A huge thank you to the GTMS staff, FSA, and students for making this bash such a success. Let’s keep the great work going!
8th Grade Trip
The 8th Grade students went on their 8th Grade trip to the Beachcomber where they enjoyed fun in the sun with their friends. Students had an opportunity to swim in the lake or pool, play basketball, volleyball, or take out a kayak or paddleboat. Lunch was provided by FSA who did an amazing job organizing this event. When students needed a snack or treat the ice cream stand and the snack shack was a popular area for the students to stop at. Staff, FSA, and students all had a wonderful day at the Beachcomber.
Congratulations to GTMS Staff Grads!

Harassments, Intimidation & Bullying (HIB)
It is imperative that we continue to teach our students the effects that bullying has on others and a community. Every student deserves a safe and supportive learning environment, free from fear and harassment. Any instance of bullying should be promptly reported to the administration or staff member, who will take immediate and appropriate action to address the situation. By fostering a culture of kindness, empathy, and respect, we can create a school community where all students feel valued and accepted.
