Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week helps promote healthy choices and drug prevention throughout the school and community. Mrs. Dallahan, our school counselor, has organized spirit days for the Pine Road. Our students and staff are encouraged to participate! Please read more about the purpose and planned activities for Red Ribbon Week HERE.
Veterans Day
This year, we are looking forward to honoring veterans who are part of our community in the following ways:
Student Letter-Writing: Our students will be participating in letter-writing at school so that veterans can receive cards for Veterans Day and again later in the year, around Valentine’s Day.
Here’s to the Heroes: Veterans Day Breakfast: We will once again be hosting our “Here’s to the Heroes: Veterans Day” at Pine Road! This event will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2026 from 9:45 - 10:45 AM. Our celebration will include light breakfast options for the student and his/her/their veteran guest as well as a brief program honoring and thanking our veterans for their service. Please note, this event is just for students and their veteran guest(s)! In order for the invited veteran guest to attend the breakfast, s/he/they must present a photo ID when entering the building to ensure a safe school environment.
Red, White, & Blue: The entire Pine Road Community is encouraged to wear red, white and blue on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.
A veteran is any type of military personnel who has or is currently serving the United States in any branch of the Armed Forces. In order for us to celebrate as many veterans as possible, we are reaching out to collect some information. Please click here to complete the form by Friday, October 16th to let us know if there is a veteran in your child’s life who would be interested in being part of these Veterans Day activities. You only need to complete this form if there is a veteran in your family’s life who would like to receive cards from Pine Road students and/or is able to attend the breakfast on 11/11/26.
If you have any questions, please contact Pine Road’s school counselor, Mrs. Shannon Dallahan (sdallahan@lmtsd.org); 215-938-0290 x. 6018.
Turkey Trot

STEM and Library Parent/Guardian Survey
We are seeking feedback as we enter into our beginning stages of curriculum renewal for Library and STEM. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
At Pine Road, this is referred to as Tech/STEM; at Murray Avenue, it is currently referred to as STEM Foundations.
Please share all feedback HERE.
Trex Collection
We are excited to be joining TREX for the Plastic Film Recycling Program. Don’t miss this opportunity to rid your house of all the plastic shopping bags you have been hoarding. There are many other items we are collecting as well. The full list is below. Please join us in this easy and Earth-friendly collection.
Two ways to participate:
1. Send your plastic film to Pine Road. Collection boxes are located in the lobby and halls of Pine Road School.
2. You may also drop off your own bags at Giant and send a picture using this link.
How does the Challenge work?
Every school that collects 250 lbs of plastic in a quarter is entered into a drawing for a TREX item for their school. That means we have 4 chances to win each year! We have won many benches through the years. Encourage your neighbors and friends to participate. Just upload pictures of your donations and/or drop them off at Pine Road School.
Thank you for your participation!
October Service Learning Project
Every month, Pine Road focuses on a different service-learning project. All students and families are welcome to participate!
For the month of October, we are asking for donations of gently used adult and youth winter coats so that we can give the gift of warmth to people who need it. Please read HERE to learn more about this important initiative!
