A Message from Mrs. McMullan

Dear Pine Road Families,

We invite you to join us for American Education Week at Pine Road Elementary! This week is a great opportunity to step into our classrooms, see your child’s daily school routine, and spend some time learning alongside them. It’s always a meaningful experience for our students to show you around their classroom community.

Visits by Grade Level (9:30 AM – 10:30 AM)

  • Monday, November 16th: Kindergarten

  • Tuesday, November 17th: 1st Grade

  • Wednesday, November 18th: 2nd Grade

  • Thursday, November 19th: 3rd Grade

Important Visitor Guidelines
To ensure our visits are both supportive and safe for all students and staff, please take a moment to review these reminders:

  • RSVP Required: Please RSVP here by Friday, November 13th so we can prepare materials and accommodations for your arrival.

  • Check-In & ID: All visitor badges will be printed in advance. If you have not visited Pine Road before, please bring your driver's license for security verification.

  • Privacy & Quiet Environment: To maintain a focused classroom setting and protect student confidentiality, please do not take photos or videos during your visit, and ensure cell phones are kept on silent.

  • Adults Only: Due to space restrictions and classroom activity setups, we ask that you please keep younger siblings at home for this event.

We are grateful for your partnership and look forward to welcoming you!

Warmly,

Kaitlyn McMullan

Veterans Day Veterans Day

This year, we are looking forward to honoring veterans who are part of our community in the following ways:

  • Student Letter-Writing: Our students will be participating in letter-writing at school so that veterans can receive cards for Veterans Day and again later in the year, around Valentine’s Day.

  • Here’s to the Heroes: Veterans Day Breakfast: We will once again be hosting our “Here’s to the Heroes: Veterans Day” at Pine Road! This event will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2026 from 9:45 - 10:45 AM. Our celebration will include light breakfast options for the student and his/her/their veteran guest as well as a brief program honoring and thanking our veterans for their service. Please note, this event is just for students and their veteran guest(s)! In order for the invited veteran guest to attend the breakfast, s/he/they must present a photo ID when entering the building to ensure a safe school environment.

  • Red, White, & Blue: The entire Pine Road Community is encouraged to wear red, white and blue on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.

A veteran is any type of military personnel who has or is currently serving the United States in any branch of the Armed Forces. In order for us to celebrate as many veterans as possible, we are reaching out to collect some information. Please click here to complete the form by Friday, October 16th to let us know if there is a veteran in your child’s life who would be interested in being part of these Veterans Day activities. You only need to complete this form if there is a veteran in your family’s life who would like to receive cards from Pine Road students and/or is able to attend the breakfast on 11/11/26.

If you have any questions, please contact Pine Road’s school counselor, Mrs. Shannon Dallahan (sdallahan@lmtsd.org); 215-938-0290 x. 6018.

We are seeking feedback as we enter into our beginning stages of curriculum renewal for Library and STEM. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.

At Pine Road, this is referred to as Tech/STEM; at Murray Avenue, it is currently referred to as STEM Foundations.

Please share all feedback HERE.

Trex Collection Trex Collection

We are excited to be joining TREX for the Plastic Film Recycling Program. Don’t miss this opportunity to rid your house of all the plastic shopping bags you have been hoarding. There are many other items we are collecting as well. The full list is below. Please join us in this easy and Earth-friendly collection.

Two ways to participate:

1. Send your plastic film to Pine Road. Collection boxes are located in the lobby and halls of Pine Road School.

2. You may also drop off your own bags at Giant and send a picture using this link.

How does the Challenge work?

Every school that collects 250 lbs of plastic in a quarter is entered into a drawing for a TREX item for their school. That means we have 4 chances to win each year! We have won many benches through the years. Encourage your neighbors and friends to participate. Just upload pictures of your donations and/or drop them off at Pine Road School.

Thank you for your participation!
