We enjoyed a glorious Sports' Day of running related activities on Wednesday afternoon. We are particularly proud that every child from Classes 1-4 took part. Their enthusiasm and good spirit was evident throughout. We'd like to thank the family members who were able to come and watch; Mr Wood for organising it; the staff for supporting our pupils and our children for being enthusiastic and fantastic athletes. We asked the children what they thought of the day. We're delighted to share their reflections here.

"I really, really liked Sports' Day."

"I liked the races."

"My favourite part was the space hopper race."

""I like keeping fit."

"It was super fun. And I was so happy that everyone took part."

"It was superb fun."

"I liked that everyone got on together and got to do something."

"I had a great Sports' Day"

"I loved every aspect."

"All that matters is that you take part."

"It was was exceedingly good fun."

"The teachers' race was extraordinarily funny."

"Sports' Day was good fun."

"You try your best and have fun."

"I enjoyed taking part with my friends."

Thank you to those parents and carers who have voted in the parent governor ballot. We will be opening the Ballot Box on 10th July at 12 pm and will let you know the result soon after.

Thank you to everyone who kindly donated prizes for the Sledmere House Raffle. The children enjoyed their day in non-uniform. We really appreciate your kindness.

We still have places available at our school for September. One of our key aims is to continue to grow our school. Do you know anybody who is looking for a great school, with first rate facilities, highly skilled teachers and fabulous children? Please encourage them to contact school as we'd be delighted to show them round. Thank you for your support.
