A Message From Mr. Ladenburger A Message From Mr. Ladenburger

As shared during Curriculum Night, regular attendance plays a key role in your child’s growth and success at school. Our day begins with morning arrival and announcements, and learning continues right up until dismissal. We understand that occasional late arrivals or early pickups may be necessary. In those cases, please notify us by sending an email to rfine@fsd79.org as well as your child’s classroom teacher.

Student MAP Reports Student MAP Reports

Student MAP reports will be emailed home next week. Please make sure you are on the lookout for that email. Check your spam folder if you do not have an email by the end of the week.

Social Emotional Screener Social Emotional Screener

Every year the universal screener SAEBRS (Social, Academic, and Emotional Behavior Risk Screener) is administered. At the Intermediate School all students participate in this screener by filling out a brief Google form with questions related to Social, Academic and Emotional behavior. All homeroom teachers also fill out a similar survey on each of their students. The data gathered from those surveys, along with information from staff members and parents, help to identify students in need of social emotional interventions, such as social emotional learning groups, etc. Please be aware that all 3rd-5th grade students will be filling out this survey during the week of September 29.

Welcome back, Wildcats! September is Attendance Awareness Month, and there’s no better time to start strong. Showing up each day helps students build routines, connect with classmates, and stay on track with learning. Let’s work together—families and school—to make attendance a priority from the very beginning. And as always, if your child is experiencing vomiting, diarrhea, or a fever, please keep them home until they’ve been symptom-free (without medication) for 24 hours.
