EHS Newsletter
December 6, 2024
It was great to see our students back at school following Thanksgiving week. As we look ahead to the next three weeks of school leading up to Winter Break, we will be keenly focused on supporting students to work toward meeting proficiency in their Essential Learning Standards for each course. As we are progressing toward the end of the semester, letter grades will be visible to students and families starting on Monday, December 9th. These letter grades reflect current levels of proficiency and are meant as a “snapshot” indicator of progress toward end of semester grades.
The first semester ends on January 30th. Please take some time to review with your student their progress toward meeting proficiency in Essential Learning Standards for each course. If your student is missing any work, needs additional support, or needs to retake assessments to meet their Essential Learning Standards please encourage them to attend school each day, talk with teachers, and attend REID Fridays. All of us at EHS are deeply committed to every student’s success.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Senior Picture Information
Hello EHS Seniors and Parents/Guardians,
As the 2024-2025 school year continues the EHS yearbook staff is eagerly anticipating receiving Senior Photos! This year we have changed things up and have found a way to streamline sending senior photos, senior quotes, and participation information (sports, clubs, etc). When you reach the website you will be asked to provide some basic information. This will help us know who is in the photo and how we can contact you if there are issues with your photo. Once signed in, submit your photos, etc. in the PORTRAITS section. PLEASE ONLY SUBMIT ONE SENIOR PHOTO.
Below you will find a QR code and/or link that will send you to our Jostens website to submit all of your senior yearbook information!

IMPORTANT: All senior photos, quotes, etc. must be submitted by JANUARY 10, 2025. We cannot accept late submissions due to printing deadlines.
Photo Info:
Senior photos must be PORTRAITS. Ensure your photos are close and clear - the closer they are, the clearer you will be. Use HIGH QUALITY photos.
All content is reviewed by yearbook staff. Anything inappropriate will be deleted.
Don't use photos with filters, logos or hand gestures.
Don't use screenshots - they are low resolution and not print quality.
Don't use watermarked photos - get them from the source.
If you have any issues with the website please reach out to Jostens through their link there. If you have any questions or need any other information please email the yearbook adviser, Ms. Jordan Collins at collinsj@estacada.k12.or.us.
We look forward to getting your photos! Thank you - The EHS Yearbook Staff
Classrooms are Cell Phone Free Zones
Life is full of distractions that keep us from performing our best.
Our expectation is that classrooms are cell phone free zones.
The classroom is a space for learning and engagement in preparation for a student’s next step in life. Join us in fostering this commitment to learning by:
Talking with your student about their cell phone use in school.
Be prepared to set limits and to collaborate with school staff in making learning a priority.
