Important Update: Homecoming Dance Tickets & Football Game Tickets
Enthusiasm for Homecoming here at H-F has been record-setting! Below is an important update about tickets for the Homecoming Dance (Saturday) and the Homecoming Football Game (Friday), shared with students on Tuesday afternoon:
Dance Tickets
We’ve sold more Homecoming Dance tickets than ever before, pushing us to the limit built in our ticketing system. Thankfully, there is no need to worry because we have opened a few hundred more tickets for sale at the South Building Campus Store!
The South Building Campus Store is open:
7:30-8:30 a.m.
10 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
3-3:30 p.m.
The extended ticket sales are for H-F students only. Tickets will be sold until we reach the extended count or on Thursday, Sept. 22 at 3 p.m., whichever comes first. That will allow us to properly prepare for the Lights, Camera, Action Homecoming Dance! We are excited about the school spirit this year and look forward to the dance.
Homecoming Football Tickets
Tickets for the Homecoming Football game are on sale through GoFan.co. We worked with our ticketing vendor to correct a programming error in the system. H-F students should now be able to use their GoFan ID code to purchase tickets for this Friday’s game.
To access a student’s Virtual ID and GoFan ID, please follow these instructions:

National Hispanic Heritage Month
To celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, also referred to as National Latinx/Latine Heritage Month which began Sept. 15, the H-F Library wanted to share some resources! Check out the library's booklist, some videos, and links for further exploration by clicking here.
Next Week: Miss Nelson is Missing!
Join H-F Theatre for this year's children's show, Miss Nelson is Missing!, based on the beloved children’s book of the same name! Miss Nelson (Emma Leak) can't control her crazy classroom because she's just too nice. But when she disappears, her replacement is the hard-as-nails, detention-loving, recess-canceling, homework-overloading substitute teacher Viola Swamp! With the big test approaching, the kids suddenly realize how much they miss Miss Nelson and they'll do anything — including hiring a private eye, Detective McSmogg (Maleeyah Daggett) — to solve the mystery of her disappearance and bring her back. The show will run in the Mall Auditorium at 7 p.m. on Sept. 29 and Sept. 30; a matinee is offered at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1. Tickets ($10/adult, $5/student/senior) are available now online. Financial Aid Night: Sept. 29
Seniors & senior families, be sure to join the Post-Secondary Counselors Mr. Coy & Mr. Kain for their latest online meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, as they welcome Mary Nucciarone from the U. of Notre Dame's Financial Aid Office to discuss the financial aid process for incoming college students. Weightroom Workouts
Students, starting this week, you can sign up to work out after school in the North Weightroom with a strength coach. The room will be open 3:10-4:10 p.m. Out-of-season female athletes will work out there on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays; out-of-season male athletes plus Girls' Wrestling participants will use the facility on Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays. If you are not on an athletics team, you can sign up for either a Monday, Wednesday & Friday session or a Tuesday, Thursday & Friday session. A morning session is also available from 7:35-8:20 a.m. You may sign up the first day you attend; athletic attire and tennis shoes will be required. AP Exam Registration closes Oct. 1
Advanced Placement Students & Parents: Watch your mailbox for a special letter from the Assessment Office about registering for May 2023 AP Exams! Throughout September, our teachers will be distributing special exam codes to students that they can use to register for exams via their College Board account. Students who would like to take the exam(s) in May must enroll in the course and confirm their exam selection by Saturday, Oct. 1. Exam fees must be paid by Nov. 10 through the PowerSchool portal. COVID Reporting Form
We are so happy to have our students back in person this school year! An important step to keeping school on track is to be sure to stay at home if you are not feeling well, especially if you are having COVID-19 symptoms or suspect you have COVID-19. If a student is COVID-19 positive, parents/guardians, please complete the District 233 COVID-19 Reporting Form (click here) for the Nurse's Office.
Alum named Class President
Congratulations to Kyla Emory, Class of 2022 Viking Scholar, who was recently elected the Student Government Association Freshman Class President at her current school, Spelman College!
Boys' Golf Championships
The Vikings hosted the SWSC Boys' Golf Championship on Tuesday at Ravisloe Golf Club. Congratulations to all of our participants and especially to junior Jack Keigher, who was named All-Conference!
