A Look at Proviso's First ACTion Wednesday

On January 15, 2025, Proviso West High School kicked off its first ACTion Wednesday, where teachers across the district joined forces to prepare students for the ACT and enhance college and career readiness. Junior core classes are diving into Cambridge workbooks, while students in grades 9 and 10 are engaging with Horizon ACT activities, and electives and PMSA PE classes are utilizing Vocabulary.com. District Coordinators are providing valuable professional development through team meetings, open office hours, and 1:1 in-person support to ensure teachers have all the tools they need. Seniors are also receiving guidance on college and career readiness from our dedicated counselors, covering topics like Naviance, the Common App, financial literacy, and social-emotional learning. It’s a great step forward in helping our students succeed both in school and beyond!
