Magnolia Students Enjoy Annual Gobble Games
Magnolia PTO hosted their annual Gobble Games during specials this week. Sidewalk chalk, sack races, bowling, and parachutes...fun times were had by all students!
What better way to spend November than spreading kindness? Cahaba Elementary partnered with our school system’s celebration of Kindness Week by completing 29 acts of kindness throughout the month! Each homeroom carefully chose a project—from helping around the school to supporting the larger community—to spread kindness within our building, our school system, and beyond. Keep an eye out for all the creative ways our students shared their kindness! It has been so enjoyable to see the faces of these sweet students as they prepared to share a smile with others in so many different ways.
Thanksgiving Feast at Paine Elementary
Kindergarten students at Paine Elementary School celebrated a Thanksgiving feast this week as part of their seasonal learning. The students spent time exploring the history of the First Thanksgiving, discussing the meaning of the holiday, and learning about gratitude and community.
The feast provided a meaningful opportunity for students to share a meal, connect with friends, and enjoy time together. Teachers incorporated hands-on activities and discussions to help students understand the traditions and values associated with Thanksgiving.
It was a memorable experience that highlighted both learning and togetherness for Paine’s youngest learners.

Magnolia Teachers & Staff Enjoy a "Soup-er" Time Together
Kindergarten students enjoyed a joyful Thanksgiving Feast together this week. To prepare for the celebration, students decorated festive shirts and created fall-inspired headbands to honor the themes of gratitude, community, and togetherness. Teachers guided students in learning about the importance of respecting Native peoples and their rich cultural heritage, while also exploring how different communities celebrate the harvest season.
Students gathered to share a traditional Thanksgiving meal, celebrating unity, friendship, and the many things we are grateful for. Our kindergarteners truly embodied the spirit of coming together during this special time of year.
