Excellence Without Exception!
Vol. 1 - Issue 2 September 2025
Welcome!
Equally important to us is building a Christ-centered school culture where students feel safe, valued, and encouraged to live out their faith. From the very first days of school, we are teaching and modeling expectations or respect, responsibility, safety, and kindness -- all rooted in the character of Christ. These shared commitments create a climate where God's love can be experienced daily, and where every student can flourish in both knowledge and faith.
Thank you for participating with us in this mission as we look forward to a year filled with learning, growth, and God's blessings.

We Are Small but Strong!
A Team in the Classroom
Inside our classroom, teamwork is at the heart of everything we do with God as our Coach. He guides our steps, teaches us how to love, and shows us how to work together for His glory. Our scholars are encouraged to support one another, celebrate each other's successes, and grow together in faith and knowledge. Each scholar brings unique gifts that strengthen the whole group, reminding us that "together, everyone achieves more."
KISS Initiative- Serving as a Team
Fairhaven has launched the KISS (Kids in Simple Service) Initiative, helping our scholars learn the joy of giving back to the community. Each month the class will be working on different projects for the local community. To start the year off scholars worked together to prepare thoughtful gifts for local policewomen in honor of National Police Woman's Day on September 12.
A Team in the Community
Outside our classroom, our school family shows they are a part of our team.
We are grateful to Fairhaven Church, who stepped up to the plate this summer to improve our campus by repairing our sidewalk and providing brand new water fountains with a filling station.
Flint Fairhaven continues their ongoing partnership with Peterson-Warren Academy as we are on our fourth year of team-teaching upper grades Math and language Arts. Our scholars are building lifelong connections with other scholars.
September 21, Fairhaven School is teaming up with Fairhaven Church and our Flint community in throwing a back-to-school rally. Scholars in our community may receive sneakers and homework supplies while enjoying food, local Christian music, face painting, and more. Our scholars will be in charge of working at various stations representing our school.
Special Visit
Miss Nieman, our Principal Teacher, had the opportunity to visit Peterson-Warren Academy during their first week of school. She met with some of her current math students and started to build community with the students setting them up for success during their online time together. It is a joy to be able to work with such a great bunch of young scholars. She can't wait to continue working with the class during the upcoming school year.
Stay Connected
God is doing great things here at Flint Fairhaven! As our teams are growing both inside the classroom and beyond, we know there is always room for more. If you'd like to be a part of our team, we would love to have you on board. Contact Principal Katelyn Nieman to find out how.
Don't forget to follow us in Facebook and Instagram (@fairhavensdaschool) to watch God's work continue to unfold at our school.
