October MTV Update
Week of October 4 - 9th
HOMECOMING SPIRIT WITH THE HIGH SCHOOL
"Coin Wars" has concluded and we raised a lot of money for all of our classes. The winning class was kindergarten who will be having an ice cream party on a date to be announced. And because of all the money raised, PTSO is also giving each grade-level ice cream sandwiches on another date to be announced. We are so proud of all the energy students and staff put into this fundraising competition.
Please remember that doors open at 8:30AM for ALL students. We are having students come to the gym for breakfast. Students are then dismissed by grade level to their classes. We are asking families to not escort students to their classes as it creates additional bodies into the hallways. All volunteers must be pre-arranged with the teacher.
Toys, electronics, and sports equipment are to be kept at home as they become a distraction at school. If your student's teacher has a special event to allow stuffies or other items, they will let you know.
Pick Up and Drop Off. At the start of the year, teachers will send home two placards with your student. Please put the placard in the front window of your vehicle to assist us with efficiency of connect you and your student. Please help us keep students and family safe. If you are doing curbside pick-up or drop-off, please do not let your students out until you have passed the crosswalk. We also encourage having your student in the passenger side of the car to support their safety as they exit the vehicle. If you are walking up to the school, please park your car in a parking space - do not park on the driveway or curb. This will help expedite student pick-up/drop-off and keep everyone safe.
CONFETTI FOCUS: This year, as a district, our PBIS focus is "Be Respectful, Be Responsible, Be Safe"
