WHS Seniors Receive Instant EWU Admissions
Here are just a few of the students who were accepted into Eastern Washington University during their Instant Admissions event at the WHS Library last week! Thanks so much to EWU for stopping by to guide students through the admissions process and help them prepare for life after graduation.
Medical Assistant Students Get Career Experience
This week WHS Medical Assistant students partnered with Confluence Health to assist with a health fair serving approximately 500 Chelan County PUD employees. These students recorded blood pressure, height & weight, as well as assisted with laboratory testing and administrative procedures. Thank you to Confluence Health and Chelan County PUD for welcoming our students and helping them get real-world healthcare experience!
Students in HOSA also participated in their first Doctor for a Day workshop in Phlebotomy. Several students learned how to safely perform venipuncture and draw blood for laboratory tests.

Panther Volleyball was decked out in pink on Thursday in support Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Way to bring the spirit and congrats on your SWEEP over Sunnyside last night.
🏈 Football Hosts Tackle Like a Mom
Panther Football hosted its first annual mom’s tackles & treats last night. Thank you to all of the moms, step-moms, grandmas, and everyone else that was able to attend this special evening with our players.

Panthers of the Week & Wenatchee Panther Podcast Interviews
Congratulations to the this week's recipients of Panther of the Week: Micah Knell and Lily Hansen!
This Week of the Wenatchee Panther Podcast
On this week's Wenatchee Panther Podcast, host Eric Granstrom congratulates this week's Panther Athletes of the Week, Micah Knell and Lily Hansen. He also chats with football's senior safety Kash Schratz, Defensive Coordinator Jay Foster, and Girls Dive Coach Emi England.
Eric is also joined by Wenatchee School Board President Tucker Jackson and Board Member Julie Norton to talk about conditions at Wenatchee High School and the need for a $275-million-dollar bond measure.
🏈 Micah Knell, Football
Micah is one of our team’s hardest workers and competitors. Every day at practice, he puts forth his best effort and is always looking to get better. Whether it’s competing in 1v1s with his teammates or helping play WR on the scout team, Micah is always pushing his teammates to become the best versions of themselves. Micah recently tied the school record for most TD receptions in a game with 3 TDs.
🏊🏻♀️ Lily Hansen, Swim & Dive
Lily is a dedicated competitor and a supportive teammate. She is the only girl that competes in both swim and dive, which means that she attends a swim workout and immediately afterwards attends a dive workout. Lily is at practice everyday ready and eager to learn. Her dedication to excellence is showing at competitions. Last weekend, she placed first in the six-dive competition and improved on her 100 free by 2.44 seconds, achieving Wenatchee’s second-fastest time in that event! Lily also makes the team stronger by uniting the team. She encourages newer swimmers to try new things and takes time to teach them skills such as fast relay exchanges. Her kindness, leadership, and commitment make her an exceptional teammate.
