Office News
In the Gospel for Sunday, October 25 (Matthew 22:34–40), Jesus teaches us that the greatest commandments are to love God with all our heart and to love our neighbour as ourselves. Jesus reminds us that love is at the heart of being a follower of God. We show our love for God through the way we treat the people around us—with kindness, respect, and care. This week, we encourage our school community to look for simple ways to help others feel welcome and cared for. When we love our neighbours, we are putting Jesus’ teaching directly into action!
Halloween Celebration
We are looking forward to a fun Halloween celebration on Friday! Students should wear their normal school attire to school in the morning, as they will be changing into their costumes after lunch. When choosing a costume with your child, please ensure that it is "in good taste"—meaning non-scary, non-gory, and free of any blood or weapons. Because time for changing will be very limited, please select a costume that your child can put on easily and independently.
Halloween Day Schedule:
11:55 AM – 12:10 PM: Student Recess / Outdoor Play
12:10 PM – 12:30 PM: Lunch Time
12:30 PM – 1:10 PM: Costume Preparation & Changing Time
1:10 PM: Halloween Parade Begins! (Starting with Grade 6)
🎉 Family Invitation: All parents and family members are invited to join us for our Halloween Parade at 1:10 PM! Following the parade, teachers will host fun Halloween activities for students inside their classrooms. We will try to have the parade virtual as well, stay tuned for updates if this is possible.
Halloween usually brings an abundance of sweet treats! To help keep our students focused and ready for learning throughout the school day, please send only one treat per day in your child's lunchbox. Thank you for your support in keeping our students energized and focused!
Wishing you and your family a wonderful week!

The Catholic Meaning of Halloween and All Saints’ Day
Halloween comes from the words “All Hallows’ Eve”—the evening before All Saints’ Day, celebrated on November 1. All Saints’ Day is a time to remember and give thanks for all the saints: people known and honored by the Church, and those whose holiness is known only to God. The Church’s celebration grew from early Christian gatherings to honor martyrs, and the November 1 observance eventually spread throughout the Church.
For Catholics, this season is an opportunity to remember that saints come from every age and walk of life, and that we are all called to grow in holiness by loving God and caring for others. On November 2, All Souls’ Day, the Church especially remembers and prays for those who have died.

Safety Reminder
As the autumn mornings grow darker, we ask for your help in keeping all of our students safe during drop-off. If you drop your child off on the west side of the school, please remind them how vital it is to use the marked crosswalk at all times.
For the safest and smoothest experience, we strongly encourage families to establish a drop-off and meeting spot on the east side of the school building. Thank you so much for your cooperation in keeping our school zone safe for everyone!
Employment Opportunity
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Caretaker to join our school team. This position is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in keeping a school clean, safe, and welcoming for students and staff. If you are dependable, take pride in your work, and enjoy being part of a school community, we encourage you to apply.
