Pick up and Drop off are very busy times of day. Safety is our top priority. Please see the procedures below and the map on the back to help facilitate the quickest and safest experience possible. Please see the PDF below for the map.

Drop Off

• Breakfast begins at 7:15 AM. Please do not drop your students off any earlier as there will not be any supervision.

• If you would like to park your car and walk your student into school, please park in the designated parking spots. To avoid disrupting the flow of traffic, please do not park your car in the driveway. Reference the map for the driveway that designates the drop off/pick up area.

• Use crosswalks for safety as you cross the streets.

• Do not allow your child to exit through the door on the side of on-coming traffic.

• Please do not double-park in order to drop off or pick up your child.

• Morning Walk begins at 7:35 and school begins at 7:45.

• Students arriving between 7:45 and 8:00 will be marked tardy, but can head straight to class. Students arriving after 8:00 should check in at the Multi-Purpose room to get a pass before going to class. If you arrive after 8:25, please check in at the office.

Pick Up

• School ends at 2:10 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On Thursdays, school ends at 12:45.

• To address safety and the business of the end of the day, we will not call students out for early dismissals after 2:00 (12:35 on Thursdays).

• Students will be brought to the front of the school in designated areas at dismissal time.

• Use crosswalks for safety when crossing the streets.

• Do not park in the drop off/pick up line as shown on the map.

• Please do not double-park in order to pick up your child.

• Older students should find their younger siblings and wait for their rides at their youngest siblings' pick up point. If you are picking up more than one student, you should plan to meet them at the pick up location for the youngest student in the group.

• Students who are walking are dismissed once they arrive at the front of the school and check out with their teacher.

• Please help keep the flow of traffic moving by having doors unlocked and working with Greer staff to get your students into your car as quickly as possible.

• Students who are frequently picked up 30 minutes or more after dismissal will be referred to Safe Schools.

• Teachers/IAs will pick up classes from the cafeteria at 7:45 and take them to class.

SJUSD Parent Portal provides parents and families with easy and timely access to student information. You can access the SJUSD Parent Portal in one of three ways:

1. If you have a valid email address on file and are listed as the mother, father, or guardian for your student(s) without any directory restriction, click on the "Need Your Login Information?" link and an email will be automatically sent to you with your PIN and Password.

2. If you are listed as the mother, father, or guardian for your student(s) and do not have any directory restriction, but are not able to access email, please visit your school site or the Technology Services SIS HelpDesk, which is located at 5133 Engle Road, Carmichael, CA 95608 for assistance.

3. You may also request the information be sent to you by sending an email to helpdesksis@sanjuan.edu. Please indicate your name, school that your student(s) attend, and their name(s). This request will be passed along to your school and they will follow up with you.

In order to protect student confidential information in accordance with Federal and State regulations, parents must provide student name, birth date, and school of enrollment, and present a valid ID in person.

If your student is in need of a new backpack, our community sponsors have been extremely generous and donated backpacks. They are available for pick-up in the office.
