August 4 (Seniors), August 5 (Juniors), August 6 (Sophomores), and August 10 (Freshmen).
Bearcats Are Back will have a fresh new look and feel! We've redesigned the event to create a more welcoming, efficient, and engaging experience for students and families as they prepare for the start of the 2026–2027 school year.
Join us for our annual Bearcats Are Back event, where students can complete nearly all of their back-to-school tasks in one convenient visit before the first day of school. Grade-level sessions will be held from 1:30–6:30 p.m. on the following dates:
August 4 (Seniors)
August 5 (Juniors)
August 6 (Sophomores)
August 10 (Freshmen).
During the event, students will receive their class schedule and take new picture for their student ID, pick up their Chromebook, pay applicable fees, verify registration, and have the opportunity to meet with counselors and campus staff.
Freshmen and their families are especially encouraged to attend on August 10, when student leaders will be available to help incoming students walk their schedules and become familiar with the campus before the first day of school.

Attendance Matters
Aledo High School Adminstrative Team
As we begin the new school year, I want to share an important staffing update.
Associate Principal Dr. Jeff Bradley will be on a temporary medical leave through the end of September. We ask that you respect his privacy during this time, and we look forward to welcoming him back when he is able to return.
To ensure continuity of service and support for our students, staff, and families, we have developed a plan to cover Dr. Bradley's responsibilities during his absence. In addition, we are grateful that Mike Diaz, a former Assistant Principal from Aledo Middle School, has agreed to return and assist our administrative team during this time. His experience and familiarity with Aledo ISD will be a tremendous asset as we begin the school year.
Our administrative team will continue working closely together to ensure that daily operations, student support, and campus activities continue without interruption. Mr. Diaz will primarily work with the A-B Alpha split. Meaning students with last names that end in A-B will be under his supervision. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact me directly at mmartinak@aledoisd.org, and I will make sure you are connected with the appropriate administrator.
Thank you for your understanding, flexibility, and continued support of Aledo High School. We appreciate your partnership and look forward to a fantastic start to the school year.
