This Week at Waters - September 4

Waters Families,

Curriculum Night is next week! We will start with a whole-school session in the gym with information from school leadership, the Local School Council and Friends of Waters. Following the first session, parents will be able to visit classrooms and hear from teachers about what students will be learning this year. Curriculum Night is a parent event and students should not be in attendance.

Did you know you can set up alerts in ASPEN for your student's grades? The Aspen Parent & Student Portal has a how-to video titled "ASPEN Parent Portal Navigation" for setting up alerts. Ms. Rovito will also be available during Curriculum Night to answer parent questions about ASPEN.

Finally, I will be starting an 8-week family leave on Monday, September 14. Ms. Martin will be taking over as the Acting Principal and Ms. Pilman will be serving as the Acting Assistant Principal. I will miss the day-to-day of being around Waters during that time, but take comfort in knowing that Waters will be in very good hands.

Wednesday, September 9 after school on the Waters Field.

Band will begin for 4th Graders during the second full week of October. Rehearsals will be held in the music room after school on Tuesdays and Thursdays. We anticipate being able to release full and detailed information regarding instrument fittings and procurement, tuition, registration, and both group lesson and rehearsal schedules in the next week.
