Eagle Eye Newsletter
October 23, 2026
Welcome back from Fall Break! I hope your family had a wonderful time resting and recharging—wasn't it fantastic having a full week off this year?
We have a busy and exciting week ahead of us! First, next week is Kindness Week, and all of our students are invited to join in the fun by dressing up each day to match our daily themes and spread a little extra kindness around school.
Most importantly, Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up. These conversations are so valuable for supporting your child's learning and growth, so if you haven't scheduled yours yet, please reach out to your child's teacher as soon as possible to set up a time to visit.
Finally, we'll end the week with a favorite tradition: our annual Book Character Dress-Up Day and Parade on Friday! Students can dress as their favorite book characters, and you are all warmly invited to come watch the parade. It starts right at 9:00 AM in the bus lanes.
Thank you so much for all you do to support our school family—we can't wait to see everyone next week!

Tuesday, November 3rd is a Digital Learning Day (DLD) for all students. On scheduled DLDs, students access lessons in Google Classroom through their Launchpad/Student Portal but may not have virtual class time with their teachers.
To ensure that students have a nutritious meal to fuel their learning, our bus drivers will be on the road and at every bus stop to deliver meals prepared by the School Nutrition Program staff. Families should expect buses to run their routes from approximately 10:45 a.m. to noon, beginning at the first stops on the route. These delivered meals are provided at no cost to families and are provided to anyone 18 years old and under. Learn more about Digital Learning Days in GCPS.
