The Wickliffe Family Resource Center is thrilled to be moving to the new Wickliffe Campus here in near future! The new Wickliffe Campus building is being constructed directly behind Wickliffe High School at 2255 Rockefeller Rd. Wickliffe, Ohio 44092, where we are currently located.

Our last day for Wickliffe Family Resource Center/WicKloset clients in our current location will be Friday, 4/28/2023. We expect to gain access to our space in the new building by early/mid-July.

During this transition, we will be available to the public via email and our social media accounts. Please feel free to reach out to us directly with any questions. We look forward to continue serving our community in our new space!

Are you pregnant or do you have young children? Have you heard of Birthright Lake, Inc. Mentor, OH but aren’t exactly sure what they do? Are you looking for community resources for you and your family? Look no further!

This Saturday, 4/22, The Signature Class of Leadership Lake County, Inc. will be hosting a Birthright Family Fun Pop-Up event at the Wickliffe Family Resource Center!

Birthright serves pregnant women and children from infancy through age 5! Come on out for a day of free shopping in WicKloset, snacks, crafts, games, and learn more about the services Birthright Lake, Inc. Mentor, OH has to offer the community!

Smile Programs, the mobile dentists, are coming to Wickliffe Elementary School on Thursday, May 11, and Friday, May 12, 2023!

All Wickliffe Students grades PK-12 are eligible to receive dental services. Transportation will be provided from WMS and WHS to WES on the day of the clinic.

Smile Programs will be offering comprehensive dental care during this visit. This means preventative care, such as cleanings, in addition to restorative care like fillings and extractions.

Smile Programs keeps permission forms on file for 18 months—long enough to cover 3 visits. After that, a new form must be filled out.

Parents are always encouraged to fill out a new registration form (even if their student was just seen in the fall) in case there have been any address or dental insurance changes!

We are so grateful to Willoughby Western Lake County Chamber of Commerce (WWLCC) for their continued support!

The Willoughby Western Lake County Chamber of Commerce launched a new initiative called Chamber Cares on February 1. Chamber Cares focuses on giving back to the WWLCC communities.

Led by Board Members, Janice Cackowski (Committee Chair), Katy Baden, Rhonda Butler and Tim Deighan, Chamber Cares will feature various programs and organizations throughout 2023.

During the month of February, WWLCC members to collected some of our most-needed items at their networking events, to benefit the Wickliffe Family Resource Center (WFRC). The WFRC was so honored to be the first recipient of donations through this amazing new program!

Throughout the past several months, the WFRC has hosted free VITA tax clinics through Lifeline and their partnership with the IRS for income-eligible individuals in Lake County.

We are proud to announce that we served 84 clients at our location this past tax season! Thank you to Lifeline for this partnership, and for helping us to expand services to the west-end of Lake County!

We were able to share some of our clothing inventory with our friends at Front Steps Housing and Services, an organization passionate about affecting change in our community by ending the cycle of homeless.

Our WicKloset student volunteers loaded up a variety of items for residents and community clients of Front Steps Housing and Services to use!

The WFRC had a great time sponsoring and attending the 2023 Northeast Ohio Nonprofit Summit earlier this month presented by Lakeland Community College’s Nonprofit and Public Service Center!

What a fantastic opportunity it was to spread the word about all of the services that we offer and network with other nonprofits and public service agencies!

We are so grateful for our community business partnerships like the one we have with the folks from Parker Hannifin! 💛

Members of the Wickliffe Hose Products Division team joined us 2/21/23 at the WFRC to help get our WicKloset area in shape! They sorted through donations, put together food and toiletry packages, and helped organize our space. Special thanks to them for all of their hard work! #ServiceMatters
