What's Happening at Loch Lomond!
Happy New Year everyone!!! 2022 has certainly come in with some excitement and a very extended winter break. We were really missing our students and are so happy to have them back in the building at Loch Lomond!
We hope you had a wonderful winter break. We had so many wonderful opportunities to help families in December with coats, gifts, food, and gift cards. We hope you continue to reach out to us to let us know how we can support our students and you during these very challenging times.
In January, you will receive division-wide surveys from Prince William County Schools. Please take this opportunity to give us valuable feedback on how we are doing and how we can continue to support you. We look forward to hearing the feedback the county gathers so that we can continue to provide your children with the best services academically, socially and emotionally.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, pleases reach out to Ms. Lagouit or Ms. Greene at anytime.

What is Code Orange?
-not come to school
-log on to their school issued laptops and do work on Canvas
-use office hours that teachers post to support them if they need help
All students will begin bringing home laptops and chargers this week. These laptops are for school use only and should come back to school every morning. This is critical for students as they will need them during classroom time. If you need a hot spot for your child to be able to connect to the wifi, please contact the front office and we will be able to help you. We appreciate your support in taking care of these devices and ensuring they come to school daily!

Updates from Nurse Margaret:
Thank you for all your support in keeping all our students and staff healthy!
Here are a few tips to help us through the winter:
-· Please do not send your student to school if they are sick, or if you must pre-medicate them for a fever. You should be taking your child’s temperature before sending them to school each day.
-If your child gets the COVID vaccine, please send a copy of the vaccine record to the school so we can input it in our system
· Parents, please make sure your student is dressed for the weather as the days are getting colder.
· For a healthier child, please make sure your child goes to bed early and gets a good night’s rest. Please make sure they drink plenty of water/fluids, get some exercise and eat a diet with plenty of green veggies.
· Flu season is upon us, it is recommended by CDC and VDH for parents and children to receive a FLU SHOT.
· It is so important that with the COVID and the FLU upon us that parents have a backup person who can pick up a sick child within an hour of being called by the office or School Nurse.
· It is a honor for me to be caring for your children when at school, please help me keep them healthy, safe and well these winter months.
