πͺ§ Counselor's Corner
The end of the school year is almost here- but don't coast just yet. How you finish matters more than you think. Check your grades, turn in any missing work, and communicate with your teachers if you need help. They want to see you succeed, especially this close to the finish line!
As you look ahead to summer, think about one goal you have- whether it's earning money, trying something new, or just building healthy routines. Finish strong now so you could actually relax later (like no credit recovery or summer classes to catch up!), you've got this!
Parent tip: encourage your child to stay consistent with attendance, assignments, and communication with teachers- final grades matter and can impact future opportunities.

Summer Jobs πΌ
Start simple- look for places you already know like restaurants, camps, stores, or community centers. Many hier students with little to no experiences. Make a basic resume that includes school activities, volunteer work, or responsibilities like babysitting or helping at home. Then apply online or go in person and ask if they're hiring.
If you don't hear back, don't give up- follow up after a few days and keep applying to other places.

πΌ Career Tip Of the Month
Network Early
Start building your network early. Talk to teachers, counselors, family friends, or coaches about careers you're curious about. Ask simple questions like what do you like about your job or how did you get started? These conversations can lead to job ideas, summer opportunities, or helpful connections. Building relationships now can open doors later- even if you aren't sure what you want to do yet.
