Upcoming EOC Exams (End-of-Course)
In a few weeks, all Algebra 1, Advanced Algebra 2, English 2, Advanced English 2, Biology, Government and AP Government students will take the Missouri Assessment Program End-of-Course (EOC) Assessments. These assessments are aligned to the Show-Me Standards for Missouri graduates, and measure student progress toward the Missouri Learning Standards, which your students have been learning all year and outline the knowledge and skills needed for success after high school.
EOC results provide valuable insight into each student’s strengths and areas for growth, helping guide classroom instruction and curriculum. They are also used by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) as part of school and district accountability. And, the results of the EOCs will be your student final exam grades.
At Timberland High School, we are committed to providing the best possible educational experience, and EOC assessments offer an important snapshot of each student’s academic progress to help support that goal.
To help your student prepare for state assessments, we recommend to encourage them to do the following:
- Use their class time wisely and study. Prior to the EOC, teachers will spend several class periods reviewing the EOC content with students.
- Read a variety of books, articles and magazines. Build your student’s reading stamina. Reading takes skill and practice. One of the best and easiest steps to improve the reading ability for students is to provide sustained periods for kids to read.
- Prepare students for the testing day. Be aware of the testing schedule and be certain that your student has had adequate rest – this may mean getting them used to an earlier bedtime before the week of testing. Also, in school, students should ask their teachers questions during class, attend office hours during lunch, and request to visit teachers during Pack Time.
If you have any questions about the assessments, please email Dr. Kleinschmidt at kaitlynkleinschmidt@wsdr4.org. Thank you for your continued support of Timberland High School and our students.
Take our Spring Measurable Results Survey
Please take some time to complete this important parent survey. The survey will close April 30, 2026. This survey was given to our families, students, and staff last April to help us with planning. The survey will be facilitated by Leader In Me in partnership with the WSD and will help us look at year-over-year trends. This link is unique to our building, so if you have kids in multiple schools, please check their newsletter to answer questions for that building. Learn more about this survey and view past results.
Attention: Junior Parents/Guardians
The State of Missouri requires ONE of the following to be on file at school PRIOR to your child starting 12th grade:
- Documentation of the Meningitis (MCV4) vaccine given.
- A religious exemption form (signed by parent/guardian)
- A signed medical exemption form (signed by physician)
If you would like your child to receive the MCV4 vaccination during school hours on 4/30/26, please complete and return the consent form by 4/16/26. Paper copies are available in the nurse's office.
Prom & Student vs. Staff Swofford Game
SWOFFORD BASKETBALL GAME
- What is it? Our annual Seniors vs. Staff Basketball Game to raise money for the Scott Swofford Scholarship is coming up! Scott Swofford was a former Wentzville teacher who positively impacted many students and colleagues, but sadly passed away unexpectedly in 2000. In his honor, the Scott Swofford Scholarship and the Seniors vs. Staff basketball game were established and have continued as a meaningful tradition ever since. Each year, two or more Timberland seniors are awarded scholarships in Scott’s memory. The event is a great opportunity for our school community to come together, support a meaningful cause, and enjoy a fun night of basketball.
- When is it? This basketball game will take place on Friday, April 17 at 7:00 p.m. at Timberland.
- What is the cost? Admission is $5 for adults and high school students, $3 for middle school students, $1 for elementary students and younger, and free for senior citizens and active military. Please note that we only accept cash.
JUNIOR & SENIOR PROM
- Who can attend? All juniors and seniors and their dates are invited to join us for the 2026 Prom.

Teacher Appreciation Week is right around the corner – Monday, May 4, 2025, through Friday, May 8, 2025 – and we’re excited to shower our incredible teachers with the appreciation they deserve! Every day, they go above and beyond to keep our students safe, build meaningful connections, provide quality education, and prepare them for success both at Timberland and beyond.
To make this week extra special, we need your help! We're seeking donations from our Amazon registry to help us put together door prizes, large raffle items, a candy bar, a snack bar, and more! Your generosity will allow us to properly spoil our teachers and show them just how much they are valued. Thank you so much for your support!
