Meet the Teacher

• I am from Preston, Idaho.
• I started as an aide when I was a Senior in High School. Graduated from USU in 1980 and have been teaching ever since!
• What I love about my current position as a Kindergarten teacher is that Kindergartners are so amusing! I love the way they think. I love that I can make the most mundane things special just by the way I present or hype it. We have fun and play, and they have no idea that they are learning. Also, the unconditional love they have for their teacher warms my heart. I'm a Rock Star in the Kindergarten world.
• My favorite book in the whole world is..well I'm a sucker for all of the picture books. I have enough to fill a Bookmobile and I can't stop buying more. The book I really remember are the Black Stallion series. I read them over and over and it was my love, but then the Harry Potter books came out. It's hard to choose just one book!
• Something I am excited do with my students is learn full day Kindergarten; I need a nap!

I love to garden! I have a huge vegetable garden and flowers EVERYWHERE around my house. Sometimes you can't see the front porch because the flowers have grown to cover it. I also love going to my house at Bear Lake. It is so peaceful and beautiful; a great place to relax.
