End of Quarter 1

November 12 marks the official end of the first quarter, and it is approaching quickly! Our students have been working incredibly hard to earn their credits and finish this grading period strong. As we enter these final weeks, daily attendance is the single biggest factor in passing classes. Continue to encourage your child to arrive on time and attend every period. Please check Infinite Campus Parent to stay up to date on your child's attendance and grades. https://www.spps.org/families/campus-parent-portal-onestop

Each Saint Paul school has a School Comprehensive Improvement Plan (SCIP) that is driven by data, and helps us judge where we are as a school, how we can better assist our students, and how we can grow as a school community. You can view our current school improvement plan on the Gordon Parks High School website.

Mark your calendar. We will host a SCIP review meeting on December 10, from 3:30 to 6. Plan on meeting with Bob Andresen during our digital conferences.

Hello from the Health Office. This is a reminder that Helen Keller International will be at Gordon Parks on December 8th to perform vision screenings for all students. They will return on December 9th to perform full eye exams for students who need them. Students who require prescription glasses following their eye exam will choose their frames on the 9th and receive new glasses, for free! If you DO NOT want your student's vision screened, please call Nurse Andrea at 651-888-7626. Thank you.
