MMS Update
Week of September 28th, 2026
Friday Night Lights!
Greetings MMS Families,
What an exciting week at MMS! We were especially proud to see our MMS Band students take the field at Friday night’s MHS football game. Congratulations to our band members on an incredible performance. You sounded fantastic and brought so much energy and school spirit to the entire stadium! We also want to give a special shout out to the MHS Field Hockey and Volleyball teams, who made appearances at MMS activities this week. Our older students continue to be wonderful role models for our middle school students and are setting a strong example for our future leaders. We are incredibly proud of all of you! This week, we are excited to begin our after school academic support program. This program will continue throughout the school year and provide students with additional opportunities to receive support, ask questions, complete work, and strengthen their learning. Please see below for more information. We will also open registration for our fall parent teacher conferences this week. Registration will open Monday evening at 5:00 PM. We look forward to connecting with families and celebrating the great work our students are doing. Please see below for registration information.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support of our students and our MMS community!

School Safety Update
Over the past month, our students and staff successfully completed two evacuation drills and a "hold-in-place" drill as part of our ongoing commitment to school safety.
Our students did a remarkable job practicing proper procedures for both evacuating the building in the event of an emergency and keeping the hallways clear when needed. Their focus and quick cooperation ensured every drill ran smoothly and efficiently.
Thank you so much to our students, staff, and families for your continued support in keeping our school community safe!

E-Bikes and Scooters
As we begin the school year, we want to remind families about the importance of e-bike safety. Recent news reports, including a September 11 WMUR report of a fatal e-bike crash in Raymond, highlight the importance of ensuring students understand how to safely operate these devices.
We ask families to work collaboratively with our schools to educate students about e-bike safety, including wearing a helmet, following traffic laws, riding responsibly, and being aware of pedestrians, vehicles, and other riders. Students who ride bicycles or e-bikes to school are expected to dismount and walk their bicycle or e-bike once they enter school property and use designated areas for parking. Our goal is to work with families to promote safe habits and ensure arrival and dismissal are safe for all students.
Thank you for partnering with us to keep our students safe.

The brand-new Watercolor Club is starting up on Tuesday, September 29th, from 2:30 to 3:30 PM in Room 238. Whether you are a master artist or have never picked up a paintbrush before, everyone is welcome to join the fun. Space is limited, so make sure to stop by Room 238 to grab a permission slip and sign up with Mrs. Blondin today. See you there!
Ink-Tober - Mrs. Roy is running an Ink-tober art club. This club will run each Thursday and Friday in October. Club members will be creating drawings with their peers in ink and sharpie marker. They can choose to draw from prompts or create their own characters or illustrations. These drawings will be hung around the school and be used on empty lockers for mini pop-up art displays. Find permission forms in the Main Office.
Rock Climbing Club - Our Rock Climbing Club is back for its 7th year! Open to middle and high school students ages 13+, the club is a great way to stay active, get outside your comfort zone, and have some indoor fun during the winter months. Students will meet for 8 Mondays beginning in January, from 2:30–5:30 p.m., with make-up days for inclement weather.
The club fee includes transportation to/from Vertical Dreams, a 3-month climbing membership, gear rentals, and a lesson on the first trip.

Dismissal/Visiting Procedures
In our ongoing effort to increase school security, we have the following procedures when parents/guardians come to our school during school hours. Thank you all for your understanding.
Dismissal - If dismissing a student, we ask that an authorized dismissing parent/guardian show their ID in the foyer, and then wait in that location for the dismissed student to meet you.
Dropping off items - If a parent/guardian is dropping off an item for a student, we ask that they leave it in the designated area in the foyer.
Visiting the school - If parents/guardians are arriving for a scheduled meeting, we ask that they show their ID in the foyer and then sign in at the main office to receive a visitor pass.
