King's Highway Monday Memo
Monday, May 12th
King's Highway Families,
We are in the home stretch of the school year! This is the last full week of the 24-25 school year. Some important dates for the next few weeks:
- May 20th - No School (Teacher in Service)
- May 26th - No School (Memorial Day)
- June 5th - Early Dismissal Day (Last Student Day)
Field Day - May 23rd
On Field Day the school will celebrate the end of the year with a day of outdoor fun. Students should be prepared to spend the day outside. Sunblock, hats, sunglasses, and clothing that can get wet (there will be water activities) are highly encouraged. Parents/Guardians that wish to support/attend should check in with their student's teacher. Parents/Guardians supporting classrooms for the day must sign in at the main office. Volunteers that are assisting with the running of events and games must have clearances on file with the main office, for more information on clearances: parentvolunteerinfo | Coatesville Area School District
All visitors must wear a visitor badge (name tag) while in the building. Each classroom has a set number of classroom visitor spots, please coordinate with your student's homeroom teacher.
Book Fair This Week
Our last bookfair of the school year starts tomorrow! Students will visit the bookfair with their classrooms when scheduled.

Ready for Summer?
Care Solace, a CASD partner, has prepared a summer survival kit for families.
Families can access the following worksheets:

School Bus Safety Reminders
As we wind down the school year, it is still essential that students practice safe bus riding skills. Please revisit safe bus riding expectations with students.
Here are some Safe Bus bus-riding guidelines for all students:
- Stay Seated: Students should always remain seated while the bus is moving. Feet should be towards the front of the bus, not in the aisle or on the seat.
- Use Quiet Voices: To help the driver concentrate, students should keep conversations at a reasonable volume and avoid loud or distracting noises.
- Follow the Driver's Instructions: The bus driver is in charge of the bus and must be followed at all times to ensure safety.
- No Food or Drink: Students should refrain from eating or drinking on the bus for safety reasons.
- Respect Personal Space: Students should keep their hands, feet, and belongings to themselves and respect others' personal space.
- Be Kind and show PRIDE: Students are expected to treat their peers and the bus driver with kindness and respect at all times.
