Shining Brighter, Growing Stronger!
Dear Parents and Guardians,

Our Main Street Spelling Bee winners competed in the CUSD Spelling Bee, and we are incredibly proud of their outstanding performance. In addition, several of our 5th grade students proudly participated in Chester Cityβs Heritage Bowl, showcasing their knowledge and school pride. Way to represent, Tigers! π―

π School Closure Reminder
Please note:
Monday, February 23, 2026 β School will be closed due to the winter storm.
Please stay safe and warm.
π΅ Policy Reminder β Cell Phones
Please be reminded that cell phone usage is not permitted during school hours. If a student is found using a cell phone, the device will be confiscated in accordance with school policy. We appreciate your support in helping us maintain a focused, distraction-free learning environment for all students.
π Attendance Matters!
Our yearly goal for average attendance is 90%. Due to recent illnesses and inclement weather, our attendance rate decreased to 65% last week. Letβs keep moving upward β we can do it!
Regular attendance is one of the most important factors in your childβs academic success. Students who attend school daily are more likely to stay on track, build strong learning habits, and make meaningful growth in reading and math.
How you can help:
β
Ensure your child arrives at school on time each morning
β
Avoid early dismissals whenever possible
β
Schedule appointments after school hours when possible
β
Remember β every minute of instruction counts!
Letβs work together to reach our attendance goal and continue building a strong school community.
Thank you for your continued support of Main Street Elementary School.
Warm regards,
Ms. D. Medley
Principal, Main Street Elementary School
Proud to serve our amazing school community! π
