Message From School Administration
What a great week at Centennial Lane! I continue to be so impressed by the kindness, energy, and excitement our students bring to school each day. It is such a joy to see our Dolphins learning, growing, and supporting one another.
This upcoming week, we also want to recognize our amazing custodial staff! October 2nd is National Custodian Recognition Day, and we are so grateful for all they do to keep our school clean, safe, and welcoming for our students, staff, and families. They are an important part of our CLES family, and we appreciate them so much!
With appreciation,
Debra Anoff, Principal

MCAP Score Report Letter
Dear CLES Families,
Your child’s Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP) Individual Student Report was sent home with your child today. These reports are for students who attended Centennial Lane Elementary School during the 2025–2026 school year and participated in MCAP testing.
The report includes your child’s overall score and performance level, along with additional information to help you understand how your child performed in relation to Maryland’s grade-level academic standards.
MCAP results are one of several measures we use to understand student progress and guide instruction. Teachers also consider classroom performance, district assessments, and other academic data when identifying student strengths and areas for continued growth.
We encourage you to review the Individual Student Report with your child and celebrate their hard work and progress. If you have questions about your child’s results or would like additional information, please contact your child’s teacher.
Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting your child’s learning and success.
Warmly,
Debra Anoff, Principal
Siobhan Drumgoole, Assistant Principal

HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH
Hispanic Heritage Month is celebrated from September 15th to October 15th each year in the United States. This celebration honors numerous people from Spanish-speaking backgrounds who have come to the United States. We celebrate their cultures and traditions during this month. September 15th was chosen as the starting point for the celebration because it is the anniversary of the independence of five Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Also, Mexico celebrates its independence day on September 16th and Chile celebrates its independence day on September 18th.
Check out these websites for more information about Hispanic Heritage Month and how you can celebrate virtually and at home!
