Sustainability Spotlight:
Knox Outdoor Adventure Club Presidents become
National Park Trust College Ambassadors!
Join us in congratulating Patience Wagner and Sarah Strauss, who are representing Knox College as one of 18 colleges with National Park Trust Ambassadors! Sarah and Patience already lead Knox students in outdoor adventures with their exec team as founders and leaders of Knox Outdoor Adventure Club (KOAC). Sarah says "We applied to become National Park Trust College Ambassadors to enhance the mission of the Knox Outdoor Adventure Club and bring even more opportunities to Knox's campus!"
As part of this program, they are also leading Knox in the Clean and Green Campus challenge. This friendly competition between National Park Trust Ambassador colleges runs from October 1st, 2025 to December 31st, 2025. During this time, KOAC is hosting a series of campus clean-up events! One more Clean Up is planned for this Wednesday, Nov 5th, 3pm-5pm. Meet us at the Sustainability Cottage!
Their most recent clean-up event was during Fall Day of Service, where their group collected 24 lbs of litter. The streets are looking cleaner thanks to their help!
Thanks to volunteers' hard work, Knox is currently in 1st place in the Clean and Green Challenge!!!
But, we need your help to stay in the lead.
Meet Sarah and Patience at the Sustainability Cottage this Wednesday, Nov 5th, from 3-5pm to help out at the last cleanup event for this challenge!
