Activities

Congratulations to the wrestling team on another great showing last night in Spearfish.

Today Mrs. Striebel and Mrs. Wilson's homeroom classes will be going bowling as a reward for the Thanksgiving Basket Food drive students will be dismissed to their homeroom after 6th hour.

It is time once again to dig out that loose change. Penny Wars for the Angel Tree have official started. Remember coins add to your total and paper money subtracts from your total. For example if 5th grade has 2 quarters in their bucket and 8th grade has a dollar bill in their bucket 8th grade would be losing. 5th grade would have positive 50 cents and 8th grade would have negative $1

Penny War Totals: 5th grade $19 in the hole, 6th grade a $1 in the hole and currently winning, 7th grade $2 in the hole, and 8th grade is a $1.63 in the hole

Calling All Artists

The South Dakota Department of Transportation and South Dakota Pilots Association are seeking students to enter the 2025 International Aviation Art Contest. The theme is Women with Wings and we would like to invite students ages 6 - 17 to submit artwork inspired by the daring women who have defied society's expectations, taking to the air and proving that the sky is a place for everyone. All artwork must be 11 3/4 by 16 1/2 inches or the nearest possible equivalent in size to be considered for the contest. Prizes will be awarded for 1st - 3rd place. All entries must be received by January 7, 2025. There is more information in the office.

Staff Member of the Month

Do you know a staff member that goes above and beyond to be kind and helpful? Please, nominate them for the PTSA staff member of the month. Nomination forms can be found in the office.

Safety

Absolutely no medication on your person, over the counter or otherwise. All medication must be given through the nurse's office.

Backpacks are to be left in your lockers. Our classrooms are very small and backpacks clutter the aisle. It is a safety thing. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
