Texan Counseling
Holiday Edition 2025-2026
A Reflection
Texans,
This past year has been a tapestry of challenges—woven with ups and downs, victories and stumbles, moments of doubt, and flashes of unexpected strength. Through it all, one truth kept rising to the surface: resilience is not just about enduring hardship, but about choosing to rise again with intention and heart.
In the midst of the struggle, we learned what it means to come together. We leaned on each other, held one another up, and remembered that family is the anchor that steadies us in every storm. We discovered the quiet power of forgiving: forgiving others, forgiving the past, and most importantly, forgiving ourselves.
Faith, hope, and love became more than just words; they became lifelines. Faith reminded us that even in uncertainty, we are guided. Hope pushed us to keep our eyes lifted, believing that brighter days are still ahead. And love—steady, patient, and unconditional—kept our spirits from sinking.
And now, with the lessons of the year behind us, we stand at the threshold of new adventures. With clearer perspectives, a stronger sense of self, and a heart that has stretched and healed, we step forward. This is our moment to embrace and celebrate the emergence of a new YOU—shaped by the past, but not defined by it.
Here’s to resilience, renewal, and the beautiful journey ahead. Happy Holidays to each and everyone!

Community Partnerships
A BIG THANK YOU to the Smokey Moe's off 410 & Military for providing FREE lunch boxes to our teachers and staff. While it was quite the last minute ask, Manager Caleb and his team provided more than what we could have asked for. We are so grateful for community partners like Smokey Moe's but more importantly the people behind the work. You have no idea how much this really meant to our school. THANK YOU for your kindness and holiday cheer you most definitely shared with every one us!

Attendance Is Important
Taki Tuesdays
Taki Tuesdays are BACK! Your Texan Child Advocacy Team is ready to surpass last year's attendance goal. Will our 8th graders continue to reign in the top spot? Or will our 6th and 7th graders step up to the challenge? Follow us to find out!
Taki Tuesday started as an Attendance Pop Up initiative we created to encourage and motivate our students to come to school everyday. The best part of this campaign, our students have no clue when the next Pop Up will be or if we will change the theme. For example, we've had "Wacky Wednesdays," "Theater Thursdays," and many other little surprises. We want to see our students here everyday, in every class. Help us ensure your student is here and on time!
