Superintendent Message
Dear Panther Families,
May was a vibrant and milestone-filled month at Redford Union! We celebrated the final weeks by recognizing our incredible staff during Teacher Appreciation Week, honoring their unwavering passion and dedication to our students.
A major highlight of the month was celebrating the Class of 2026 at their graduation ceremony on Wednesday, May 27. We are incredibly proud of our seniors and can't wait to see the bright futures ahead of them.
Looking ahead, registration is officially open for our Summer Learning Program, designed to keep students engaged with academic support and enrichment. Please contact the main office of your student's building for enrollment and schedule details.
Finally, a heartfelt thank you to Good Neighbor Day America — a nationwide movement to inspire the Good Neighbor in every American through love, kindness and service — for their extraordinary generosity this month, as their recent deliveries provided essential furniture to many of our district families.
Thank you, Panther families, for your incredible partnership and support throughout this wonderful school year!
Go Panthers!

Beech Elementary
Pastries With Your Person
Beech Elementary was filled with smiles, laughter and delicious treats during our recent "Pastries with Your Person" event! Students had the opportunity to bring a special person in their lives—whether a parent, grandparent, guardian or mentor—to school to share a morning pastry and enjoy quality time together before the start of the school day.
It was a beautiful reflection of our close-knit Panther community, and we love seeing the strong bonds that support our students both inside and outside the classroom. Thank you to all the amazing participants who joined us and made this sweet morning so memorable!
Hilbert Elementary
Glow Before You Go
There was no shortage of smiles—or neon!—at Hilbert Elementary’s recent "Glow Before You Go" end-of-the-year dance. Students celebrated the conclusion of a fantastic school year by lighting up the dance floor with glow sticks, great music and unforgettable memories with friends.
This special send-off celebration was a beautiful reminder of the tight-knit, joyful community we have here at Hilbert. We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who volunteered, decorated and danced with us to make the evening such a success. Wishing all of our Hilbert families a fantastic and relaxing summer vacation!
Keeler School
Best School Day Ever
Keeler School recently celebrated their Best School Day Ever—a hands-on, off-site learning experience designed by our staff to spark curiosity, inspire a love for learning and have fun. The best part? It was a total surprise. Students didn't know what was happening until a morning announcement revealed they were heading out on a field trip, prompting cheers that could be heard all the way in the main office!
For this year's adventure, the entire school headed to the Detroit Riverfront for a guided educational cruise aboard the Diamond Jack River Boat. Students enjoyed an up-close look at local history and geography, taking in unique views of the Detroit skyline, the Canadian shoreline and historic landmarks like Belle Isle and the Ambassador Bridge. They also got a firsthand look at maritime life, spotting massive Great Lakes ships and active ship terminals along the way. It was an incredible day of discovery and community, and we are proud of our students for representing Keeler School so beautifully!
Redford Union Junior High
Celebrating Our Volunteers
Redford Union Junior High recently hosted a Volunteer Luncheon to honor the incredible individuals who dedicated their time and energy to our school community this year. The event served as a heartfelt tribute to the parents and community partners whose tireless efforts behind the scenes—from classroom support to event coordination—empower our students to succeed. We were honored to share a meal with these selfless leaders, and we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who helps make the Panther family so strong!
