Sept. 15th- Nash News
August 19th

9/15/2024
Hello Nash Families,
The first full week of school was filled with excitement as kindergarteners began their school year and grade 5 students attended the instrument demo. Teachers and students in many classrooms were busy working on projects for open house. We appreciate everyone's patience as we made adjustments to ensure a safe drop-off process for all students each morning. Thank you for your cooperation and support as we navigate the start of the school year together.
Hope you had an amazing weekend,
Mrs. McDevitt
New Morning Drop Off
The drop off worked well this morning. It allowed students to be dropped off at a sidewalk and less traffic as our walking families try to cross. Thanks for all your patience and cooperation.
Here are some things to remember as we move forward with this.
- Please try your best to arrive at Nash after 8:40 to line up. We do not want to block the way for Champions and Staff.
- Pull all the way up to the corner of the school by the gym.
- Stay in cars and wait for staff to start letting students out.
- Try your best to have students exit out the right but we know sometimes that cannot happen.
- Please do not pull out of line. We have to be cautious of students exiting the left side of vehicle.

Open House
Wednesday, September 18th 6-8pm
Students are allowed at open house. We ask that all students stay with their parents and do not go off on their own.
Please be courteous when parking and throughout the building.
Our small school is not use to so many people coming to visit at once.
We hope to see you all!
Science and Social Studies
Social Studies and Science are valuable and essential content areas that are part of all students' education in Grades K-5. We are responsible for covering Massachusetts Learning Standards in these subject areas in all grades, and all teachers plan and implement engaging lessons that meet the Learning Standards for their grade level. The Mass Department of Elementary of Secondary Education has really helpful guides that explain these standards for families: Mass Learning Standards for Families
Please Update Emergency Contacts
Mass Smiles Dental
Mass Smiles is an organization that provides dental screening and care: cleaning, prophylaxis and treatments over three separate visits during the school year. THIS CARE IS PROVIDED AT NO COST TO YOU. It is done at school.
If you have insurance, they will bill the company for the service but will NOT bill you directly for anything not covered by your insurance. If you have no insurance, the services are free.
Please complete the consent for and indicate "YES" if you want your child to participate. There is no need to return the form if you do NOT want your child to participate.
