Note From the Principals Office 3/2 Note From the Principals Office 3/2

Hello All!

We are officially in March—a month when conversations around graduation, end-of-year trips and traditions, and spring sports begin to increase.

This week, two Hartford High School staff members met with our 8th-grade students in the first of many meetings that will take place over the next few months. This initial session focused on life as a HHS student, the opportunities available at the high school, and an overview of what students can look forward to. In the coming weeks, our 8th graders will meet with their teams to develop questions, which will then be answered by HHS students during their next visit.

The HHS staff members were impressed with our 8th-grade students—their focus, engagement, and behavior during the presentation stood out. I was very proud of this group. They have stepped into leadership roles and consistently set the example of what it means to be an HMMS student.

Before February break, our students and staff participated in a Winter Carnival filled with fun activities. A highlight of the day? Our staff successfully pulled off a flash mob—managing to both embarrass and entertain our students at the same time! The energy and laughter throughout the day were contagious, and the feedback from students and staff was overwhelmingly positive. It was truly a great day at HMMS!

Additionally, our admin team is working on an informational night for parents to share school updates and data. Be on the lookout for an email by the end of the week with the date and time.

Thank you for your continued support, and please read below for further updates.

HMMD (Marathon Dance) HMMD (Marathon Dance)

Hello everyone!

In a few short weeks, on March 21st - 22nd, HMMS will be hosting our first ever Hartford Memorial Marathon Dance (HMMD). HMMD is a 12 hour charity dance fundraiser. This dance marathon is intended to not only raise money for local charities (this year it is the Upper Valley Haven, CHaD and the HMMS family who recently lost their home due to a fire) but also build community throughout the school, connect the school to the larger community, and create a sense of belonging for the students of our community. We currently have over 1/3 of the HMMS study body participating and fundraising to help these amazing organizations and families.

The HMMD Committee and HMMS Student Council are selling t-shirts to support the Hartford Memorial Marathon Dance (HMMD). If you would like to purchase one, please follow the link below:
