Lunch Information
Letter to Parents Regarding the Free & Reduced-Priced Meal Program
Lindale ISD is committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed, and that begins with meeting their basic needs. One way we support families is through the Free and Reduced-Price Meal Program, which provides nutritious meals at little or no cost to qualifying students.
We want to assure you that this program is completely confidential. Only the parent or guardian who applies will know if their student qualifies. All students go through the same meal lines, and there is no distinction made between those receiving free, reduced, or full-price meals.
If you feel your family may qualify, we encourage you to apply. Applications are available online athttps://www.mealappnow.com/manlin/splash.php.
We encourage you to apply as soon as possible so your child can begin receiving benefits without delay. If your family’s situation changes during the school year, you may apply at any time.
If you have any questions or need assistance with the application process, please contact Lindale ISD's Child Nutrition Department.
Thank you for partnering with us to ensure every child in Lindale ISD is healthy, supported, and ready to learn.
VPE Welcomes Lunch Visitors
Would you like to visit your child during their lunch break? Check out the flyer below and campus policies concerning Lunch Visitors below:
*If your child's classroom time is not listed, please email your child's teacher.
We Love Having Lunch Visitors!
Thank you for following our Visitor Lunch Policies when you visit:
Find a spot at one of the designated Parent Tables
Only your child may sit with you. Please do not invite other students to eat with you.
If you take pictures, please make sure they only include your child.
Once students are cleaning up, please have them join their class.
Return to the office and give back your nametag to check out.
Parents may not walk students to classrooms or any other areas in the building.
Our lunch monitors and staff work hard to maintain structure in the cafeteria. Please help us by ensuring your child is listening to instructions given by the monitors/staff and is following our expectations:
Stay seated unless going to the restroom or given permission
If a pass is available, they may go to the restroom
Get quiet if instructions are being given
Use good manners
We look forward to your visit!!
Tracking Thursdays
Tracking Thursdays begin on Sept. 3 (VPE students only). Please note, however, that parents are invited to join us for Tracking Thursdays beginning Sept. 24th. On the first visit to Tracking Thursday, parents must check into the office and receive a “fast pass” for Tracking Thursdays after the office checks visitor IDs. This will enable visitors to bypass the office check in process on future visits by showing the staff member at the gate their Tracking Thursday fast pass. See your child's scheduled time below.
Eagle Spirit Week
Homecoming is always an exciting time...even at VPE. During Homecoming week, we allow our students to dress up to show their Eagle Spirit. Check out the Spirit Days below.
NOTE: Students may not wear Homecoming Mums or Garters during Spirit Week! Thank you!

Student Expectations
Game On: Every Move Counts
This year's school theme will focus on our students knowing that "Every Move Counts." The students will learn that in all situations at school they will want to make their every move count. Learning moves that are strategic and thoughtful when it comes to academics, behaviors, communication, and more. We will begin the year (and every morning) reminding the students that three of the greatest moves that will be a game changer for them will being RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE and READY for SUCCESS. Thank you for reinforcing these game changing expectations, also.
