Principal's Message
“New year. New goals. New adventures. Same wonderful school community.”
Dear Heritage Families,
Welcome back! I hope you and your family had a wonderful, restful summer. As we get ready to begin the 2026–2027 school year, there is so much excitement throughout our school as we prepare to welcome our students back through our doors.
There is nothing quite like the energy of a new school year—the smiles in the hallways, the excitement of seeing friends, and the curiosity that comes with new opportunities to learn and grow. Our staff has been working hard all summer to prepare classrooms, plan engaging learning experiences, and create a warm, welcoming environment where every child feels valued and ready to shine.
Our parent portal is going live today at which point you will be able to see your child's teacher for the new school year. If you are unable to get into your portal please call the school on Monday morning for assistance with that.
This year, we look forward to building on our strong school community, celebrating student growth and accomplishments, and creating many wonderful memories together. We are grateful for the partnership and support of our families and know that when we work together, our students thrive.
Let’s make 2026–2027 a year filled with learning, kindness, laughter, and new adventures!
We can’t wait to see our students and families soon. Welcome back, Heritage—we’re ready for a fantastic year!
See you soon,
Principal Olson

ATTENDANCE MATTERS
As stated in our handbook, attendance at school is expected not only as a district policy but it is also a state mandate.
The most important thing is if your child is out please contact the office so it can be documented appropriately.
Also, if a doctor’s note is written, it should be turned into the school office promptly. If you receive an attendance letter regarding your child, please consider it as information to update you where your child is attendance wise. If there is a concern academically, or excessive absences, you will be contacted by the office or the school adjustment counselor to set up a meeting. In the end, we are all on the same team, looking to set up our students for success! Success starts with being at school.
Supply Lists
Dear Parents and Guardians,
During the summer, we know that there are sales on back-to-school supplies. We hope that having this list now will help you get these things at the best prices, if you are able to donate. Anything that you are able to donate is very much appreciated.
Once class lists are released teachers may send a welcome letter which may include any specific needs the classroom or your student may have.
