Our school is piloting a new program to help connect home and school through PowerSchool Gradebook starting October 23. Details on the program and how to access it are in the attachment below.

Families that have pizza orders, pick up will be Tuesday, October 27 from 12:30 - 5:00pm outside by the gym doors.

If anyone is able to volunteer to help sort from 10-12 pm or hand out in the afternoon please contact Nancy at 587-280-2270 or email friendsofalhortonschool@gmail.com.

All orders are due on or by Friday, October 23 2026. Copy or picture of order form must be submitted electronically by email to friendsofalhortonschool@gmail.com. More information can be found on the digital copy attached above. The paper forms were sent home this week with your child.

Wondering when and how to pay for school fees? School fee information for the 2026-27 school year is posted on the PowerSchool Parent Portal. All fees are due within 30 days of being posted. NOTE: Additional fees may be added throughout the year - for example, field trips, swimming, skating.

For more information, visit the ALH School Fee Schedule on the school website. Alternatively, contact Connie Bay, ALH Business Manager at 780-632-3113.

If you’re unable to pay your school fees, you can apply to have certain fees waived.

The application deadline is Dec. 15, 2026.

If you are able to help us out on a Wednesday to cook, wrap and sort hot dogs for the students, please reach out to the school office at 780-632-3113 or general.alh@eips.ca.

We love having parents and visitors in our school community! To help keep our students safe and make sure our school day runs smoothly, all visitors must check in at the main office upon arrival.

For the safety of the children, to go past the office, visitors will need to have the Volunteer Form filled out. This can be done here through Permission Click. and is good for the entire school year. Multiple students can be added to one form. This is also required to volunteer in the classroom and on field trips.

Is your child riding the bus this year? If yes, download the My Ride, Bus Status and SchoolMessenger apps to stay in the know about your child’s bus stop location, route, pickup time and whether their bus is running on schedule.

Please ensure that the bus lane is kept clear at all times. Parking in front of the school is dedicated for busses only. Thank you for your cooperation.
