The Weekly Highlander
Volume #18
A Message from the Principal
The second semester of the year is underway, and our students continue to work and thrive at Hewes. This week, we held school tours for prospective families; our ASB students led these tours and did a fantastic job sharing what it means to be a Hewes Highlander.
The campus is active and busy this week with a PTA meeting on Tuesday at 1 pm, please join us virtually or in person in the library. I will be sharing information about course registration and discussing the elective choices. Students in after-school sports have basketball scrimmages on Tuesday (boys) and Thursday (girls) at Pioneer Middle School. Finally, our counseling team will be hosting Breakfast Club on Wednesday at 8:15 am, where students will set goals and create a plan to reach them.
There is no school on Monday in honor of the Dr. Martin Luther King Junior holiday; enjoy your three-day weekend and we will see you back at school on Tuesday morning. Please stay connected to Hewes by checking our website and following us on Instagram @heweshighlanders for the latest information and news.
