π Catch Your Dreams - 1/13 π
βπ» Club Spotlight: Peer Mediation βπ»
What is Peer Mediation? Peer Mediation is a chance for students to help others work through conflicts in a positive, respectful way.
For students: As a peer mediator, youβll learn how to listen without taking sides, ask thoughtful questions, and help classmates find solutions they can agree on. You wonβt be solving problems for peopleβyouβll be guiding conversations so everyone feels heard and respected. If you care about fairness, enjoy helping others, and want to build leadership and communication skills, peer mediation might be a great fit for you.
Itβs not too late to join!
We are excited to host our Peer Mediation Training in January!
Dates:
Tuesday 1/13: Training Day One
Tuesday 1/20: Training Day Two
Tuesday 1/27: Training Day Three
Where: Room 269
When: All training days / meetings start at 3:00pm
Once all 3 training sessions have been completed, you are an official Peer Mediator!
Questions? Email Ms. Martha Polley at mpolley@leyden212.org.
For Teachers: If students are experiencing conflict, peer mediation is a supportive option to help them work toward a positive resolution. Teachers may recommend students by emailing mpolley@leyden212.org with the studentsβ names and a brief description of the situation.
