Windsor Families,

It was a great week at Windsor! Reminder there is no school tomorrow!

Today was a busy day! This morning South Middle School Jazz Band and Choir put on a great show for our Wildcats! Then at the end of the day, we welcomed back Windsor alum for their senior walk. It was so fun to cheer on former Wildcats as they paraded through the hallways.

5th Grader Spirit Wear Days- Wear your 5th grade Windsor t-shirts every Friday in May!

As the weather gets warm, we love seeing so many families walking to school. Please only cross at the corner in the crosswalk. Reminder, there are no dogs allowed on school property. Please do not bring them to drop off or pick up. Thank you!

POLISH CONSTITUTION DAY- MAY 3

The Polish Constitution is the world's second written constitution. On May 3, 1791, shortly after the U. S. Constitution was adopted, the Polish Constitution was approved by King Stanislaw August Poniatowski.

Unfortunately, the Polish Constitution did not last. Despite that fact, the Polish Constitution of 1791 is commemorated for what it represents - the Polish spirit devoted to truth, justice, and freedom.

Notes from the Nurse

Winter is the time of year when we notice cases of lice in our school community. While lice are a common occurrence and not a health hazard, it’s important to remain vigilant.

Please take a moment to read this INFORMATIONAL LETTER on HEAD LICE which includes helpful information about identifying and preventing the spread of lice.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Reminder: Student Safety and ICE-related Concerns

Student safety remains a top priority in District 25. All schools are safe and welcoming for every student and family, with district procedures in place to support students’ safety and learning in the event of any ICE-related incident. The district will continue to share information with families to reinforce our commitment to keeping students safe.

Windsor Drive Drop and Go

Just a reminder, please pull all of the way up on Windsor Drive to our furtherest staff member no matter which door your child enters the building through. We have many staff members outside monitoring our students as they exit cars and walk into the building. This helps to keep our intersection at Windsor and Miner clear. While there are not many families driving to school now, as the weather gets cooler or rainy, many will opt to drive, so we ask that you follow these expectations each day.

We appreciate you parking on alternate streets for arrival and dismissal. It helps to alleviate congestion on Windsor Drive. We have had some concerns raised from neighbors that live on the Sunset Terrace cul de sac, due to Windsor families parking in the cul de sac, delivery trucks and those who live there are not able to access their homes during our arrival and pick up. Please only park on one side of the street and not in the actual cul de sac to ensure that our neighbors are able to access their homes at all times. Thank you!
