Hello there French Prairie Middle School parents! You may have noticed we are heightening traffic safety in the front of the building during pick up and drop off times. I appreciate seeing you following the directions and asking questions, when needed, to the staff wearing high visibility vests.
Parents and Guardians can help with our safety efforts by:
*Driving your car forward on the curbside to pick up your child. DO NOT pick up or drop off your child in the left passing lane.
*After other cars pick up their child curbside and merge into the passing lane, pull your car up in the line to the front to pick up your child. DO NOT leave your car vacant in either lane. (just like the airport)
*Waiting for your child across the street in the church parking lot is possible too. Students must use the crosswalk for this option.
*Being kind and patient with one another goes a long way towards making this a safe and efficient process.
One of my favorite things to do is watch how parents and students' eyes light up when they see each other before and after school. Parenting is really hard work, thank you for doing it!
