The Dryden Red and Black
May 27, 2025
Congratulations, Dryden High School Class of 2025!
All-Night Party
Twenty-six Dryden High School Graduates enjoyed the Project Graduation All-Night Party on May 22. The event started at Hideaway Lanes, where students bowled, played video games in the gaming trailer, took a turn on the 360 videobooth, tried their luck at Plinko (spoiler: everyone won!), and enjoyed a meal with their classmates. They traveled by bus to Urban Air in Sterling Heights, where they had total reign over the venue until 4 a.m.! A good time was had by all, and most of them (and the chaperones) slept through Friday to recover.
Memorial Day Parade
On Monday, May 26, the Dryden High School graduating classes of 2025 and 2037
continued the longstanding tradition of walking together in Dryden's Memorial Day Parade.

- Caila Fitchett also qualified in the 300m hurdles, finishing second with a time of 49.79, one of Dryden’s only double-event athletes.
- Olivia Zellers qualified her spot in high jump, with a strong second place finish after clearing 4’02.00.
- Brendan Peter is headed to the Finals in the 110m hurdles, where he ran a strong 16.40 to take second and move on.
- Logan Romain will race in the 2-mile, after finishing first with a time of 10:53, leading the race from start to finish.
The Dryden girls’ track team made history two weeks ago at the Dryden Home Meet for regionals, taking 1st place with a total of 86 points—their first regional title in several years. MaKayla Mater finished 4th in the 300m hurdles with a solid time, earning valuable points. In the mile, Cara Prusakiewicz and Claire Wright placed 3rd and 4th, both running strong races. The girls’ 4x200 relay also stood out, taking 4th and clocking a fast personal record that added to the team’s overall success.
On the boys’ side, Dryden finished 5th overall with 48 points. While a few advanced to states, other athletes still stepped up in big ways. Logan Romain secured 3rd place in the mile, and Brenden Peter placed 4th in the 300m hurdles, both contributing solid times. The boys’ 4x800 relay also ran hard and finished 4th, helping round out a competitive day for the team.
