Out with the Old, In with the New!

We are excited to share an important update regarding our graduation ordering process!

Moving forward, our school is transitioning away from Jostens and officially partnering with Midwest Scholastic, a trusted local Wisconsin business. Through this new partnership, we are able to provide our families with the same high-quality graduation products—including caps, gowns, stoles, and tassels—at significantly lower prices.

We are thrilled to support a local company while also reducing costs for our graduating class.

What’s Next?

More detailed information regarding how and when to order caps, gowns, stoles, and tassels for the upcoming graduation season will be shared soon. Please keep an eye out for future communications!

NEW Attendance Policy and Cellphone Policy

ATTENDANCE POLICY:

Starting this school year, parents/caregivers will be required to use their Infinite Campus portal account to enter attendance information for any student absences that may occur. The goal of requiring this new process is to make our attendance procedures more streamlined and timely, utilizing the capabilities of Infinite Campus more fully.

Here is a link to a demonstration video that will assist you in navigating to the correct location within Infinite Campus.

CELLPHONE POLICY:

Pursuant to Wisconsin Statute 118.258, a student's possession of a cell phone is a privilege that may be forfeited. Student cell phone use is allowed before school, during passing times, lunch, free periods, and after school.

Did you know we have over 40 college representatives scheduled to come to Shorewood currently?? Make sure you're logging into Naviance to check the dates of when a college is showing up and then register! Visits with college reps are open to seniors AND juniors. It's never too early to start thinking about your post-graduation plans. Pro tip-if you update your list of "Colleges I'm Thinking About" in Naviance, you can get notified if a college of interest schedules a future visit.

Looking for a job?

Check out the job and internship board in Student Support for local employers who are currently hiring part-time. The board is updated often so check back throughout the year for opportunities.

SENIORS:

- Our school profile document and initial transcripts have been uploaded in Naviance and that means transcript requests are live! Swing by Student Support to grab the blue transcript request forms which need to be completed in order to have your documents sent to the colleges you're applying to. Reminder that you will need to fill out a form for each college/request.

- Shorewood is switching graduation supply companies. If you were planning to wear a gown from a prior graduate, it will no longer match the gowns for the 2027 graduating class. The good news is you can exchange the old gown for a new version for FREE. This opportunity will only be available on Wednesday, October 21st during lunch time so mark your calendar accordingly!
