EARLY CHILDHOOD SCREENING

The early childhood years from birth to the start of kindergarten are an important time of rapid learning and growth. Between the ages of three and four screening can detect possible health or learning concerns so that children can get help before they start school. Children need to be screened within 60 days of starting preschool.

Screening provides an opportunity for young children and their families to access a wide variety of services and early childhood programs, and promotes and supports parents’ understanding of their child’s health, development, and learning.

Ideally children are screened between the ages of three and four. Early screening can detect possible health or learning concerns so children can get help before they start school. If your child has not yet been screened, please call 320-264-1413. The next screenings will be held on Friday, September 25, 2026 from 8am to noon and then again on Friday, October 9, 2026.
