• Registration is live for the preconference and main conference

• Allegan - Sept. 16th, Jan. 20th, April 13th (10am - 12pm) - register for Allegan meetings (SCECH)
• Kent - Sept. 24th, Jan 14th, April 15th (9am - 11am) - register for each Kent meeting - Sept - Jan - April (SCECH and/or SWCE)

• Submit your final reimbursement requests for the 25/26 grant year by Sept. 10th in the eCivis system (these are expenses between 10/1/25 - 9/30/26)
• Allocations for the 26/27 grant year will be available soon

• Identify students who are experiencing homelessness and assist with enrollment, even if documents or medical records are not available
• Follow up with students who were MV last year on their current nighttime residence (MV status is re-determined each year at the start of school)
• Assist with School Selection
• School of origin - arrange transportation by discussing options with resident district Liaison (sample agreement 1)
• Hang posters / flyers within school buildings and the community - Know Your Rights flyers in multiple languages

• Grant coordinators and liaisons across the state have noticed a significant increase in parent / guardian requests that use AI summaries of the McKinney-Vento Act
• Many of these summaries contain incomplete, inaccurate, or out of context information
• Great resources and accurate information can be found through SchoolHouse Connection, NAEHCY, and NCHE

• Kent - the CoC has a new name and new branding as the Kent Homelessness Coalition
