A Message from Principal Price
Dear Lemon Crest Families,
This week, our Lemon Crest community truly showed what it means to be kind, inclusive, and awesome during Kindness Week! We are so proud of our students for enthusiastically participating in our LC Great Kindness Challenge Spirit Week and for filling our campus with positivity, compassion, and joy.
We want to give a big shout-out to:
-Our students for leading with kindness, empathy, and inclusion
-Our staff for modeling and nurturing these values every day
-Our families for reinforcing kindness at home and supporting these meaningful school experiences!
At Lemon Crest, kindness isn’t just a week: it’s who we are and what we want to instill in our students. We know that families play a vital role in modeling kindness, respect, and positive choices. The lessons that students learn at home are what our kids also carry with them into our classrooms and playgrounds each day: how to speak to others, how to handle challenges, and how to show empathy. When families and schools work together, students feel supported, valued, and empowered to succeed both academically, behaviorally and socially.
So families, thank YOU for being our partners in helping children grow into compassionate, responsible, and respectful individuals. Your continued support, conversations at home, and encouragement make a lasting difference in our school community, and we are truly grateful!
Remember, we have our February All-School Assembly this coming week on Friday, February 6 at 8am on our blacktop. While we are a closed campus, parents/caregivers are welcome to attend our All-School Assemblies!
Take care,
Jen Price
Lemon Crest Principal

Contacting Teachers & Principal Price
If you have a question or concern about your child, we encourage you to speak with your child's teacher first. Please note that during the instructional day, teachers and staff may not be able to respond to your message, email or call since they are busy doing what they do best: teaching! Your child's teacher will respond to you when they are able. Thank you for understanding!
Contacting Principal Price:
Email: jprice@lsusd.net
Call the Front Office: (619) 390-2527 - The front office staff will take a message, and Principal Price will call you when she is available
In-Person: Call the office so Mrs. Whitehurst or Ms. Madina can help us set up a meeting so I can dedicate time to you!
Many of your questions may be answered in our Lemon Crest Family Handbook A-Z . We ask that all families read this.
Please know that there is a 24-48 hour "grace period" in my response time. When I respond, call or meet with you, I need time to get informed in order to have possible answers to your questions. I am prioritizing getting to know our students so I can support their success and am often not readily available in the office. Thank you for your understanding and support.
Theme for the Year: Planting Possibility
This year, our school's theme is Planting Possibility, inspired by the children's book, Curious Garden, written by Peter Brown. Click the link below for a read-aloud of the book by Principal Price!
